If you are looking for lots of inside dirt on the Steelers Super Bowl teams of the 1970s, this isn't the book. Terry Bradshaw devotes more of the book to his life off the field than on the field in this book, although that is not really a bad thing. Bradshaw is an interesting individual and a committed Christian, a subject that is covered thoroughly in the book. At the time of the book was written, the Steelers had won three of their four Super Bowls. There is also commentary from people like Chuck Knoll, Terry's college coaches, his parents, former wife Jo Jo Starbuck, etc.

If you are a Bradshaw fan or a Steeler fan from the 70's, this is still a good read. It covers much of Terry's early career and touches on his high school and college playing days as well.

It speaks in depth about Terry's Christian roots and faith and about his marriage to Jo Jo Starbuck.

The book is more about his LIFE than anything else. If you are looking for a lot of game day, on the field type of book where Terry talks about the plays and players, there's not much of that here. Mostly dealing with his life and how he FELT about the games, the draft, the booing and jeering from the fans, etc. I belive this was written/released right after the Steelers won the 1979 Super Bowl against the Cowboys, their 3rd.

It also has a good listing of Terry's stats and some Steeler records as well.

Like I said, it is dated since it doesn't close out Terry's career and the writing style is a little different than we see 30+ years later.
