5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Buy
I bought two of these terry changing pad covers when my first child was born. We now have a second child, and the covers are still holding up nicely. They wash and dry very well with any load of clothes. There seems to be no pilling to or from other garments. The colors do fade, but no more than what is expected. Best of all, stains wash out well with a stain remover...

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!
I really disliked this product. First, once it was washed it shrunk and would not fit properly on the pad. I bought a standard contoured pad from Babies 'R Us and so it should have been compatible. Second, it's too much of a pain to keep taking it off, washing it and putting it back on. I have three of these and now don't use any. If your baby remotely spits up or goes to...

Best of all, stains wash out well with a stain remover (just like a towel). For all of the stains I could not get out of my children's clothing and bibs, it's nice to know their changing pad covers always look clean.

Second, it's too much of a pain to keep taking it off, washing it and putting it back on. I have three of these and now don't use any. If your baby remotely spits up or goes to the bathroom while on the changing table (before you get a new diaper on) I've found it's easier to buy some nice inexpensive matching towels and lay them over the pad. They're cheaper and you don't have to worry about fit.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bought & Returned., April 7, 2002
This review is from: Terry Contoured Changing Pad Cover - Blue (Baby Product)
This cover is soft terry cloth, but we bought the safety changing table pad deluxe by Dex Baby Products and you do not need this item (we returned ours). If your baby ever has an accident while you are changing them, you will end up washing more then you should have to. We just use the pad which is vinyl & easy to wipe down after changing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but they snag when washed, June 8, 2003
By
This review is from: Terry Contoured Changing Pad Cover - Blue (Baby Product)
These are great -- we have two so that when one is dirty, we can have a clean one. But they snag, very easily, in the washing machine. A lot of times, I find that it works just as well to use the changing table pad without a cover -- the plastic is much easier to clean up and you don't have to do laundry. A receiving blanket over the plastic cover works just as well, and washes up better ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars Love This Item!!!, May 22, 2003

My son is now 12 months old, and we have had this item since he was born and love it. We have two covers in different colors, and this works perfect. When one is in the wash, the other is on. I haven't had any problems with shrinking in the wash, and I don't really understand the need for the slots either as the straps come up under the cover. The only issue I have seen is that both covers did get some pulls early on. No big deal, though. Sometimes I turn them inside out and use them that way. The pulls happened really early on and haven't gotten any worse. I love these covers and would highly recommend them to anyone!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Covers, February 2, 2005
This review is from: Terry Contoured Changing Pad Cover - Blue (Baby Product)
I haven't experienced any problems like the other customers. I've been using 2 light blue covers now for 21 months and they've haven't shrunk and still look the same. They're not as soft and fluffy as they were brand new but that's to be expected. I've never had a problem with the straps since they are underneath the pad and wrap up and around. I have the Simmons changing pad so maybe that's the difference? I like how they have a large color selection making it easier to cordinate with your nursery colors.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good basic covers, May 25, 2005
This review is from: Terry Contoured Changing Pad Cover - Blue (Baby Product)
We have four of these covers- one blue, two green, and a yellow. They definitely make the changing pad a more comfortable surface for our baby- he loves just hanging out on them. We leave a lap pad on the cover which is the first line of defense against accidents during changes. This somewhat reduces the frequency of cover washings. Some people have noted that they find these covers unnecessary- I'm sure the changing pad would be adequate by itself, but I just feel like the whole area is cleaner when I can throw the cover and pad into the laundry.

Be advised that all our covers did shrink slightly after washing. They do, however, continue to fit well on the pad. The colors also faded slightly with washings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have!, August 28, 2004
This review is from: Terry Contoured Changing Pad Cover - Blue (Baby Product)
I was hesitant to register for these covers because of some of the negative reviews I read...However, my son is now 3 months old and we love the covers that we use! Some common complaints I have read mention shrinking, poor fabric quality, and staining easily; our experience has been quite different:

-Shrinking is minimal (I generally wash in hot water because I'm getting poopy out, too)
-Any shrinking that does occur does not prevent the cover from fitting, only makes it more snug (which I like)
-Stains come out very easily with Dreft stain remover or Shout (neither alters the cover coloring either)
-Of my four covers, two have loose threads from excessive washing (still in great shape-I consider the fabric quality excellent, especially considering the amount of washings these go through in the first few weeks!)
-One thing to consider: Colors online are very different than in person...I found that the pictures online show darker, richer colors. I have 2 blue covers and one each of the yellow and white. The blue and yellow are much, much lighter in person (they appear to be very pastel); I find them more appealing!

Like I mentioned, I have four of these covers. They are fantastic and I recommend them to everyone. Buy more than one though, because they definitely get dirty quickly--I think I changed mine every day for the first 2-3 weeks that my son was home!

5.0 out of 5 stars This cover is light blue!, May 27, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Terry Contoured Changing Pad Cover - Blue (Baby Product)
This cover is actually light blue--not lavender. I registered for this cover because I wanted light blue. When it was added to my registry, it came up as lavender. I went back to Babies R US to confirm that the SKU number matched the light blue cover and it did. For some reason, there must be a glitch in the online system because even the description of this cover says it is made out of blue terry cloth. In any event, I got the light blue one as I had wanted. Just wanted to post this so everyone knew what color they were getting!

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible product!, April 20, 2006
This review is from: Terry Contoured Changing Pad Cover - Blue (Baby Product)
The quality of this changing pad cover is very, very low. After only one washing, I had loose threads all over and the terry had already snagged. Now, after months of continued use and turning a blind eye to all it's imperfections, the terry material is pulling away from the elastic edging. The Especially for Baby brand changing pad cover is so much better: MUCH softer, better made, comes out of the wash perfectly, doesn't get snagged by bibs with velcro closures that are also in the wash. I had two Simmons covers and both are terrible. I'm buying another Especially for Baby one immediately.
