This is something like the fourth Terry Mens Liberator saddle I've used since the late 90's. This one is quite firm in comparison to the very old one I had on my commuting bike. The previous model lasted many years of year round use in New England and I see no reason why this one should last as long.

While much firmer than its predecessor, the transition to this saddle has been pain free. It hits my sit bones exactly the same places as the old one.

In terms of the cut out, it definitely keeps pressure off the perineum. I've ridden on other saddles once in a while and I've found it surprising how much pressure there is in the place you don't want to have pressure. Ahem. ;-)

Having only logged about 150 miles on this new saddle, I'll come back and update the review later in the season. My first reaction is that this saddle is as good as the other Terry saddles I've used in the past.

I've ridden over 12,000 miles on this saddle and it's still like new. Hands-down the best saddle I've ever used. It's comfy, but doesn't get in the way. I don't have much experience with the Brooks Saddles that so many folks seem so crazy about, but the Liberator is so good I really don't want to try anything else. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Brooks love is more about the aesthetic than anything else...

Got about 500 miles on this saddle and it's one of the most comfortable I've ridden. Getting ready for a cross country that requires a decent saddle for long hours every day.
