Terry Richardson is a notorious photographer in and around New York City. His work occasionally popped up at lesser-known galleries before the breakthrough glossy magazine work got him a big name and a publishing deal. And the work was brilliant. Son of Bob collects some of these photos, which if you were lucky enough, you caught at the Alleged Gallery years ago. His stuff can be shocking and funny, disgusting and sexy. Nevertheless, it's great to see his work in print.

I wanted to get one of his earlier books, as I was a model in one of his later books, Terryworld. It was an honor to pose for someone so well known in the art world.

FYI: He's from SoCal, you just think he's British because that's where they liked his work first. He became famous in, and is still deeply associated with, the brit mag iD. Also, because he has funny facial hair and used to go out with Stella McCartney...

Terry's stuff is dirtier than it would be if someone else took the same picture. He gets at the heart of what's fun about sex, and that's raunch. Plus, it's art.
