The NASB is the most accurate, word for word translation of the bible in English. This makes it ideal for those who are familiar with the scriptures and do not need (or want) anything that is a paraphrase or an interpretation of the translator. If the NASB says something, you can be 100% certain that the words used are the most accurate translation of the original language that are possible and still make sense in English. This translation was done with painstaking care. There is no need to learn Greek or Hebrew with the NASB available. Unfortunately, this also means that the NASB doesn't always read like natural, everyday American English. The editors chose accuracy over elegance and smoothness. For students, accuracy is more important. For devotions and newbies, style might be more important.
This is a beautiful edition. The binding is solid and tight. This feels very sturdy and will last a lifetime. The font is very clear and readable. Double columns make this look like a traditional New Testament. There are 26 pages of helps in the back. A silk ribbon completes the package. This will fit easily into a purse or a man's pants' pocket. A good value.

I'm a fan of the NASB translation, and I never like to leave home without my sword, so I was excited to find out that Foundation put out a NT with Psalms and Proverbs. My devotions always include readings from Psalms and Proverbs, so it's nice to have them included in a pocket sized Bible. The Bible is beautiful, the text isn't too small despite the fact that it fits neatly in a pocket. The ribbon is nice. My only complaint is about the gilded page edges. The gilding was done very cheaply. I've only had this Bible for about a month and a lot of the gold is flaking off already. Everytime I read this Bible, my hands look like they're covered with glitter.

This little NT with Psalms and Proverbs goes with me in my purse every day. When I'm waiting or have a moment, I open it and take time to review or learn something new. I've ordered several more to give to friends as gifts. I love it.

The New American Standard Bible is highly regarded for its fidelity in translation to the original languages of Holy Scripture. I like to pack light when I travel, and I was looking for an NASB New Testament with Psalms conveniently sized for travel. This edition meets my needs admirably. It will easily fit in a pocket of my backpack, or even in a coat or jacket pocket. The bonded leather cover and gilded page edges give the book a very elegant appearance. The type size is small but very legible. In addition, the book contains an extensive section of "helps" to find biblical teachings on various issues, and also a plan of reading that, if followed, will enable you to read the entire New Testament, plus the Psalms and Proverbs, in two years. There are also a few blank pages in the front and the back where one could make notes, or write or paste in favorite prayers, so that this book could serve both as a travel Bible and a prayer book. Do note, however, that all the print is in black ink; this is NOT a "red-letter edition," with the words of Christ printed in red ink.

This little NT feels just right! It is slightly larger than other pocket NTs that I have owned, but still fits any pocket. The font is good and the print is crisp. Importantly, it is very sturdy since pocket Bibles often get harder use. I can't imagine a better value than this NT from Amazon.

This New Testament was purchased for a graduation gift, so I really never opened it. So far as I know it was excellent, and it is definitely a convenient size to keep with you.
