This review is from: Testarotho: VOL 04 (Testarotho (DC Comics)) (Paperback)
Leonedus and his pals are not in very good shape these days as they lay scattered and wounded even as a plague moves among the city, killing indiscriminately, but especially the children. Socrates, the doctor of the group is doing everything in his power to save them from the biological weapon released by Arsenal upon their enemies. The strongest assassin from the Garden has also arrived on the scene, known as "The Death Mask" whose skills are so good that only one person has ever survived an encounter with him. Leonedus and the others will have to see if they are up to the task of defeating him. If not, the insane Cardinal Dalglish's plans to exterminate all those who oppose the Church's rule will be fulfilled.
Even though this is the final volume of Testarotho, expect to be disappointed, because it doesn't have a proper ending. It stops just as a big battle is about to start. It seems that the series didn't do that well in Japan and its creator was forced to cancel the book so you get cut off right in the middle of the tale. It was so lame that to me, CMX should not have even picked up this book, misleading readers by not giving advance notice that it was cancelled in Japan so the story will never be finished. I really liked Testarotho, and was glad I read the four volumes, but what a rip-off in Volume 4.
