Ron and Peter work for Testico as human testers for the things Testico manufactures. The two live in a small two bedroom one bath apartment with hand me down furniture (more like stuff they collected at the curb) in a Pacific Northwest city. Their full time job is testing stuff giving feedback to Dr. Ng the head of research at Testico. The range of stuff they test is crazy, a robotic vacuum cleaner, a paranoia drug, to a perfume that attracts women.
The fact that they are "testees" and work for Testico evokes the word for male genitalia. The humor is mostly centered below the waist. But there is an interesting twist to the main joke in each episode. The perfume to attract women was an excellent parody of the Blair Witch Project and zombie movies. There's more going on here than just the random kick to the groin.
The first episode does start out slowly. By episode two and three, the series settles into a rhythm with some really funny jokes.
Ron is the more normal looking of the pair - yes he could be the Felix Unger (The Odd Couple) of the pair. Jeff Kassel does an excellent job with this character, he's the smarter of the two, but is also prone to lying. By far my favorite of the pair is Peter played by Steve Markle. He is the opposite of Ron, the Oscar Madison. He is honest and innocent to a fault. And there in lies his charm. About midway through season one they killed off the "hottie" of the show, Kate played by the beautiful Kim Schraner. In an episode her bar burns down, and she's never heard from again. The biggest clown in the series is Nugget, the schlub slacker that works in the bar, played by Joe Pingue.Read more ›
I watched this show every chance I got when it was on TV. It got funnier and funnier every new episode but for some reason was a very short season.
This is definately toilet humor at it's best. Not for young kids. But...If you remember being young yourself, seeing Monty Python or South Park late at night knowing you might get into trouble? This is that type of show.
If you are apprehensive in buying the dvd, watch the download on Amazon first. You will most likely end up buying it.
There are 12-13 season episodes and 22 mini-episodes (sort of outtakes) in the bonus features. Well worth the watch for a good laugh.

The only way I can think to describe this show to do it proper justice would be to say that it's almost like live action "South Park". Read morePublished 21 months ago by chef steph
