The Aztek A320 is a marvelous airbrush! I've used other airbrushes for 30 years for painting scale models, and the Aztek A320 is very easy to use and gives excellent results. Right out of the box, I used the brush to paint a 1/72 scale model of an M3 Stuart Light Tank, and the end product turned out great. The airbrush has a blue knob in its tailpiece that controls the amount of paint used, which allows the user to control the width of the paint spray from a narrow line up to a fairly wide swath. I set the pressure on my compressor to 15 PSI and the result was an even, fine spray that covered my model perfectly. The brush came with two interchangeable tips that give different coverages. In fact, the A320 uses the same range of tips as the more expensive A470, and that means a user can get the perfect tip for almost all types of painting projects.
I own an Aztek A470, and while it performs as advertised, the fact that it is a double-action brush means it is cumbersome for my older fingers. The new A320 is single action which simplifies things considerably. In fact, this A320 airbrush will cause my A470 to get dusty from disuse, and even my trusty 30 year-old Binks Wren will be consigned to the back shelf as well. The A320 is simple to use and is highly recommended as a first airbrush, or as an airbrush for experienced users who want excellent results without fiddling with the intricacies of a double-action airbrush.

We needed to repaint the steering column in a car we are restoring, and didn't want any overspray issues. This airbrush did the trick! Easy to use, operated and set up just as described. We have never used an airbrush before, so we were pleasantly surprised at how well it worked, and at the ease of use. I believe the intended use for this airbrush is for painting models, and we can see how it would be excellent for that application as well. |
