I like the Aztek for its double action, ease of cleaning and replaceable tips. The price is highly variable, so do shop around. I wish it were possible to just buy a replacement handle as these do wear out regularly. I bought this unit for that purpose multiple times.You might get longer life if you do not leave solvent in the handle or soak it in cleaner as I have done in ignorance. The rubber seals can be attacked and when they are damaged the airflow valve will leak. Aztek (Testors) will repair a damaged handle but will not quote a price to do so, so I suspect it is cheaper to just buy a new set like this one. It is a "throw-away" airbrush. I have done extensive painting of model trains and accessories using the Aztek. It would be five stars if the handles could be serviced or replaced more easily. |
