4.0 out of 5 stars Acrylic vs. Enamel
I enjoy using the Acrylic Paints more so than Enamel. I am not too much of a die-hard model enthusiast but I do enjoy Planes and Battleships from the WWII era. With Acrylic you will find that they are Non-Toxic and clean-up is a sinch. Now, you will find that sometimes a second application might be in order to get good, full coverage of parts. I do not mind this because...

I do not mind this because I enjoy to process of model building. Next, Enamel paint is acceptionally convient. Many times you will only need once application to cover model parts. With Enamel there is a word of caution. If you get the paint on your skin you will need a good dose of Thinner to remove it from your hands and/or finger tips. For this reason it might be wise to purchase a box of polyetheline or latex gloves when working with the product. Unlike Acrylic these types of paints are Toxic. I also found that if you use say Testors Non-toxic Cement (75611 35210)you will notice Disolving of the Enamel Paint in the event it comes into contact with any parts you have all ready painted; It can become an absolute mess! I have found a nice balance of using both of these types of Paint depending on what type of model you plan to build.

I purchased these paints for my 13 year old grandson. I could not find these colors in the stores I visited. This kit of colors met all of my expectations.

This is a good choice of paints. Testors is a well known name brand. This colors are essential for military models.

This is a great set of paints for folks putting together military modeling kits. My son and I had a blast using this paint on a model tank. I would suggest this product to anyone doing military models.
