A view from North Vietnam,
By Jeffrey L Baker (Washington, DC, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tet 1968: Understanding the Surprise (Studies in Intelligence) (Hardcover)
Ronnie Ford did an excellent job of bringing together a wealth of information which presents the Tet Offensive of January and February 1968 largely from a North Vietnamese perpective. His work clears up a lot of the mystery surrounding the North's decision to launch an offensive that resulted in a disasterous military defeat for North Vietnam, but which ultimately led to the withdrawal of the United States from South Vietnam. A necessary addition to any serious library focusing on the Vietnam War.
