5.0 out of 5 stars Very warm and cozy!
I do a lot of camping in very cold weather and I'm not exactly a tiny person. Neither is my husband. We both fit in this tent very comfortably being the size we are and in 22 degree weather we were VERY warm in this sleeping bag. It was well worth what we paid for it and then some. Before we got this sleeping bag, we didn't sleep well camping because it would be so...

versus
3.0 out of 5 stars It is nice, but it is too big.
Too big, too bulky hard to fit in its stuff sack. Also should have a better design to split into two separate bags. It is warm though and comfortable. I like, but would not recommend it to a friend. I think a slightly smaller, light bag fit me better.

I do a lot of camping in very cold weather and I'm not exactly a tiny person. Neither is my husband. We both fit in this tent very comfortably being the size we are and in 22 degree weather we were VERY warm in this sleeping bag. It was well worth what we paid for it and then some. Before we got this sleeping bag, we didn't sleep well camping because it would be so cold we would shake all night, but this time other people came out of their tents saying they didn't get a good nights sleep because it was too cold. And we got good sleep!

So, this sleeping bag is wide enough for bigger folk (200+) and warm enough for REALLY cold weather.

Another cool feature it has is this piece that you can pull over your face and head if you want to, and it has this slight indention to where you can still breath, or tunnel as I call it. So your nose and mouth doesn't freeze.

This is our first "two person bag" and it's great! My husband is 6'6" and he is able to fit in it deep enough to cover completely up. It is roomy enough for us both to move and sleep very comfortably. It is warm, and I mean WARM!! We used it on our recent 18 day camping trip through 6 states and very different climates. In Utah, we didn't even zip it up, it's so warm just as a blanket type set up. In Montana we did challange it's warmth factor, zipped up, and still we were toasty all night long. When we fisrt took it out of the stuff bag it comes in it didn't look like it would fit back in. The trick is to NOT roll it, but just stuff it back in like you would a regular bag. It does fit in the stuff bag, and we stuffed it 18 times on this trip (we move from campground to campground when traveling). the stuff bag has compression straps on it too, but we didn't really use them since we were taking it out and putting it in the stuff bag so regularly. Now that it's stored for a couple weeks at home, we did compress it after stuffing it. But don't kid yourself, this is a large, thick bag, so when stuffed it's pretty good size to transport. We car camp quite a bit more then the average couple and this bag is the best addition to our equipments we've made in a long time, I would recommend to anyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars worth the price, February 14, 2007

I hesitated buying this sleeping bag due to the price, but my boyfriend insisted on it. We went camping with it this past weekend, and the temperature was around 50 or mid-40's (we were on a beach in southern California), so we didn't exactly test it in extreme temperatures. It was so warm and cozy and definitely kept us warmer than our cheap sleeping bags would have. Actually it was so warm we had to open the sides a little to let air in! Having slept uncomfortably cold nights in a cheap sleeping bag before, this sleeping bag is worth the price for the good night's sleep alone. On our second night camping, it rained pretty hard and we realized our tent was leaking. We patched it with some tape and trash bags, but the inside of the tent was fairly wet. The outer material of the sleeping bag appears to be waterproof, so we were still pretty warm the whole night even though it got a little wet (we brought a spare sleeping bag to pad under the Teton - it was soaked). Now we just need a good tent to go with our awesome sleeping bag!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Car Camping Bag!!!, June 27, 2008
This review is from: Teton Sports Mammoth 0-Degree Sleeping Bag (Sports)
This sleeping bag is awesome! My husband and I used to zip 2 sleeping bags together, but it never really worked. This does! We can tuck our pillows into the top, zip up each side independently, and stay warm and cozy all night. Our dog can even snuggle up in between us, on the top of the bag! Plenty of room!

The flannel lining is so comfortable.

This isn't a hiking bag. It weighs 16.7lbs, and measures 27 inches high by 15 wide when it's packed into it's stuff sack. But what a stuff sack this is! Support straps run up all 4 sides, which can be tightened and released easily, and double as a carrying straps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent over-size sleeping bag, February 25, 2007

The Teton Sports Mammoth 0-Degree sleeping bag is a great over-size bag for the money. The quality of construction is great, and when I used it in 35 degree F temperatures with another person it is very comfortable (in the desert, not sure how well it will perform in a humid environment). The bag also comes in a very well built sack with adjusting straps.
The picture on Amazon of it with three people in it however is a little misleading, in that picture it truly appears massive, but I would say two adults fit well in it, but adding any more bodies than that may get crowded. Also, I am 6'-4" feet tall and I would say this bag will be long enough for someone as tall as 6'-7".

The bag is very comfortable and roomy for two. My wife is 5'7' and I am 6'3',love the extra length. We had two alike bags that zipped together before. The downside, the bag is verrry difficult to get in the case, and a little slippery on the air bed.

This is a great sleeping bag if you don't mind the size and weight of it when it's packed up.

My husband and I fit comfortably in it with room to toss and turn. My son had room to slide in too for story time or morning cuddles.

I haven't tested it in really cold weather, so I can't attest to that point, but overall it was really soft and comfy and we love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cozy, Comfortable, and AWESOME!!!, June 3, 2009

I recently used this sleeping bag on a three day camping trip with my wife for our first anniversary. When we first got it I opened it at the house and was thrilled with the size! It is huge!!! We threw it on our queen size bed to check out the dimensions. It's about as wide as a queen size bed and a little bit longer than one. It's got a lot of room inside and plenty of space for people over six foot!
The built in pillow is a great feature! It's padded pretty nicely but when we slept we also used a small pillow. There are two drawstrings around the opening so that you can close it tight for those especially cold nights. We had to do that a few times and it made a big difference in keeping the cold out and the heat in.
The inside of the sleeping bag is so soft and extremely comfortable! It's a cotton flannel interior with a ton of padding so it's soft to sleep on and a fantastic insulator. The heat from your body will warm up the inside in a matter of minutes!
The exterior is a pretty solid material so you don't have to worry about it ripping on you. I was very impressed with it as I compared it to my old sleeping bag which had a very thin outer layer.
This sleeping bag has two zippers-one on each side. I love that because you or your partner can exit without disturbing the other. It also helps if you get too hot inside because you can unzip both sides and fold the top back however far you'd like.
We camped in the Monarch Mountains in Montana and it got down to about twenty degrees at night. We stayed very warm inside and it even got a little too warm at times. This bag is truly designed for 0 degree weather!
When it came time to put it away my wife and I had no trouble getting it back into its compression sack. With two people it isn't difficult but one person alone will have a harder time. Just fold it in half and slowly but tightly roll it from end to end. It's a snug fit but goes in fine that way.
I would recommend this sleeping bag to anyone that does cold weather camping and is looking for a bag large enough for two people. This may be too large for one person alone unless you're hoping for a lot of extra room. All in all-GREAT PRODUCT!!!

Awesome bag - nice to snuggle with your sweetie on a camping trip. Love the additional head "flap," the quality zipper, color, and comfort. Was uber-worried about being "too" warm given our first trip was getting down only to the early 50's or so, but was fabulously surprised to learn that simply opening up the zippers and sticking an arm out or something was enough to stay nicely comfy, like Goldilocks. Can also easily imagine how warm and toasty it's going to be when we're in some high-mountain, Colorado cold nights in the teens, especially when have 2 bodies together to keep warm.

And the carrying case? Fantastic! Yup, this bad boy's heavy, but think about it - one "quality" bag's going to be heavy, and this one's the weight of two. Thus, when got it, loved, loved, loved the carrying case but when started folding, thought there was no-nodda-zip way that this thing was going back in it and was ready to shoot self. Ahh, patience prevailed, for tried again, calmly, thought about it, and worked a little harder, and voila - man, went from "arrgghh" to "yeah baby" like that! Was in the handy little case, zip-tie pulled quickly up and tossed in the car and on our way, neatly packed away. Have no doubt that next time use it will get it in there much more quickly since know it works with the right effort.

Buy it, buy it, buy it - love this brand!

4.0 out of 5 stars The beast of all sleeping bags!, July 6, 2009

Its a great bag for car camping; very warm (seems true to rating), and extremely cushy (felt like it had a built in thermarest). The bag is lined with soft flannel, has a built-in pillow layer for your head, zippers down both sides, and enough room to move away if cuddling gets too warm. It comes rolled in a really nice stuff sack, but I found the bag too combersome to get back into it. Bottom line: this bag is huge, well insulated, and requires storage space.
