....and my fish don't either. for the fish lover like myself, this is just a temporary setup. these fish live in a 46 gallon planted tank. I just fed the fish an hour before, but I'm planning on changing the water today, so I added a little treat for these guys.

Fussy Fish,

I bought a house last year and inherited some fish in a pond. The seller left some food behind and when the fish finally awoke from their winter sleep I gave them some of the food. There were two kinds of food--one flake and one in stick form. They didn't seem to like the stick variety so I tossed it and fed them the flakes. Inevitably I ran out of the flakes and went to purchase the same product. The Petco store was out of that brand. I picked a similar flake food and brought it home and tossed it in the pond. The fish rushed out as they usually did for food but seemed a little taken aback by this new one. I figured "different food--takes a while to adjust". The next day they seemed less interested. By the third day they didn't even bother to come out of their little cave under the waterfall. Point taken. I went to a different Petco and found the right brand and brought it home. They were a little slow trusting me but by the second feeding they were happily rushing out to eat as always. I checked out Amazon to see if it was available here to avoid the "out of stock" problem again. Not only did Amazon have it but for nearly $5 less a container. Win-win! I ordered three canisters to get free shipping and will continue to get the food from Amazon until the fish go to sleep for the winter again. Thanks, Amazon, for having the right brand for my very picky fish and at a good price!

The price is good, and the fish seem to like it, but they can't type.

The photo on this item shows a different canister then what I actually received. The lid isn't the same on the product i received in the mail. But it is the same brand and net wt. I am happy to say that this item was shipped faster then i expected and was at a great bargain compared to in-stores. Thank you.

this is all I feed my fish - they like it and it does not cloud up the tank as easily as others

The fish like it. Buying in bulk reduces the price considerably from local pet stores. Product received in timely fashion.

Ever since I started using this fish food for my goldfish, the water has gotten dirtier fast then ever before. I know goldfish are dirty, but the water got dirty less then 2 days! It also makes the fish poop colorful which I don't think means anything. I do not recommend this fish food at all. I am switching back to the original food I was giving them.

Not too bad....,

This food is for fish with huge mouths. The flakes are ginormous and I'm thinking that the manufacturer thinks he's feeding dogs, not fish! And, they float to the bottom so fast that the fish barely have time to grab the flakes - before they knock them out after landing on them! One of these flakes landed on our frog and terrorized the poor thing! Anyway, that said, if you have tetras, don't buy this food - just get something else. I use this for my angel fish and something else for the tetras. Great food otherwise, but I wish they'd find a way to keep the flakes on the top for awhile. I won't mention how they dirty up the tank quickly....

Nice, large flakes.,

We've been feeding our goldfish TetraFin Flakes for months. Three of my goldfish are standard gold color. One of them is white, but seems to change its tint depending on the fish food. Sometimes, it's very white, sometimes with some black, sometimes with a golden hue. These flakes make it look more golden. The TetraFin Flakes are large, colorful flakes, not tiny crumbs. I like that, because crumbs don't all get eaten before they dissolve in the water. I imagine the fish get a better meal being able to catch large mouthfuls of flakes. When we run out of these flakes, I'll buy some more.

I did not realize how large a 7 ounce container of fish flakes was... This is huge. DEfinitely a lifetime supply for my 20 gallon planted.
