I have skimmed over some of the negative reviews here and felt the need to clarify a few things for those of you who are unsure if this product is for you. I have been using it for my fish for several years now and it is a great product. It is important to know this stuff sinks and is for specific fish that tend to either bottom feed or enjoy chasing their food. It is also important to know what kind of fish you have and their feeding behavior before buying this, or any other fish food.

Also keep in mind this product alone should not be used to feed your fish. Flakes and granules can cause health problems for some fish if fed to them exclusively. It is important to work in some live and/or frozen food (the type depending on the fish of course). With that said, a mix of these granules and some flakes work as great in-between meals for my fish.

My fish love this stuff. Clean and floats down relatively slowly. Used for many years. Along with Tetramin's tropical crisps, a full diet.

Adds wonderful color to my Geophagus Tapajos and plecos love it too. Great food for bottom feeders and smaller fish can even mortar and feed to baby fry

I didn't realize how large this container of bits would be. It looks like i will need 1 can each 3 months. The discus and angelfish love it and took to eating it right away. Love how it does not dissolve and foul the water. They were originally eating homemade beef heart mix, frozen blackworms, and beefheart flake but i really neeed to reduce the # of water changes and was looking for a product that would not foul the water as much. Sometimes the fish take a while to eat it, especially when i dump a lot in.

Perfect for the Eheim automatic feeder. My discus colors are improved. I mix this with frozen blood worms, shrimp and beef heart. My cat fish love this food as well. This is the only dried food that I can get my discus fish to eat.

My discus, tetras, and catfish love this one! What I like about this - (1) provides a good snack for fish in addition to live food, (2) easily digestible, (3) does not cloud water, (4) less waste, and of course the most important thing, (5) fish are happy.

Also, note that this size costs 2 to 3 times more in my local pet store, so at this price, it is a no-brainier. Thank you, Amazon!

My Discus love this food. They are well fed and healthy. Would give it 5 stars but some of the granules in my last batch were very small and they only really went for the larger granules. I usually see a small amount at the bottom of a batch, but this had some throughout. Not too much to be a serious negative though.

These slowly sink to the bottom. If you are careful of how much you feed, the fish will eat most of it before it hits the bottom and then the baby fish clean up the rest.

Slow sinking my a**. These things drop faster than rocks, and my fish hate them. I can't get anything in my tank to take interest in them (ghost shrimp, fiddler crabs, pictus catfish, neon tetras, tiger barbs, gouramis). The granules are pretty large (too larger for most "smaller" fish. And if I try to crumble them smaller, they just dissolve in the water immediately. Would not recommend.

My non aggressive tropical fish seem to like this food and being pebble like in shape rather than flakes, portions of the food float while other portions sink to the bottom giving fish that like to stay towards the lower end of the tank a better chance of getting bites in.
