"Tetris 2" is a great and innovative game for anyone who has ever liked the original Tetris. In this game, you don't make the blocks disappear by getting a whole row filled. There are colors on the blocks in "Tetris 2" and to make them disappear you have to connect blocks and make 3 of the same color touch. There are a few sparkling blocks that can really come in handy. For example, when you make a yellow sparkling block disappear, the rest of the sparkling yellow blocks will also disappear from the board.

"Tetris 2" is complete with both 1 and 2 player modes of play. In 1 player mode, you can go up against the computer and see how far you can get. Two player mode is what's really fun though. You and a friend will both compete at the same time to see who can clear the board first. You have to win a minimum of 3 games to win. Each time you win, it will give you a white fish that will swim around in your tank, and when one of you first wins 3 games, the other person's tank of water will drain.

"Tetris 2" has great graphics, effects, and the sound and music are good too. The control is top notch and the best thing about it is definitely that it's a lot of fun and it has good replay value. It's definitely one of the best puzzle games ever made. If you've ever liked Tetris, I recommend getting "Tetris 2" for the Super Nintendo.

This time, the challenge is to clear pre-arranged squares from the screen. But, instead of filling in rows, you're trying to line up three squares of the same color horizontally or vertically. All the original shapes are back, plus some new ones that come apart. These can be a blessing or a curse. You can play by yourself, against a friend, or against the computer.

I'm a big fan of the original Tetris, and got this version as soon as I could. It's as challenging and addictive as the original and a great way to spend several hours of fun no matter if you play alone or with someone else.

Now if you have Tetris and want to expand your library with another game of the series, Tetris 2 isn't a bad choice.

T2 contains more complex puzzle solving thanks to it's new system of completing rows. No longer are you to fill up a line, but now have to match a color(red, blue, or yellow) of 4 blocks to eliminate them. This can be extremely maddening and a great challenge during the later levels.

However I am a huge fan of the original Tetris and found it hard to get used to the sequel. I would still recommend the game to any Tetris fanatic but I'd sooner recommend Tetris Blast for the Game Boy than this. Like most sequels this isn't as good as the original(where's the classic Tetris theme!?) but still offers up many hours of fun.

My daughter loves the game. Lokie games is a great place to buy new and used nintendo games. Great shipping and have never had a problem ever with the games that come from them. Highly recommended.

The first Tetris was what everybody thinks of as an average puzzle game then and now. But what had become of its sequel, Tetris 2?

For Tetris 2, you must line up 3 in a row using the usual Tetris shapes, as well as a few new shapes. It is a cool spin off of both Tetris and Dr. Mario. In fact, even the setup is similar to Dr. Mario. You can choose from Slow, Medium, or High falling blocks, 20 levels, and 3 different tunes.

Unlike Nintendo's Tetris 1, you get to play against a friend. You can also face a computer player.

It's another addicting puzzler that is as much fun as the original.

This Tetris is A LOT better than the original Tetris in my opinion. The main difference is that you don't have to get a full line filled to make the blocks disappear. Instead, the blocks in Tetris 2 have many different colors and you have to connect 3 in a row of the same color to make them disappear. It also has 2-player mode which can be a lot of fun. But that's not all, even the graphics and sound are good in this game. The first one to 3 wins is the winner in both 1 and 2 player modes. To keep track of it, each time you win, it will give you a fish. The fish will swim around until somebody wins. For the loser, the water will run out of their tank and the fish will suffocate.

If you're a fan of Tetris or great puzzle games, then this is one of the best games you could pick up. It should have got a lot more hype than it did.

I have found tetris 2 better then 1 more challenging, great way to learn eye and hand movements too. I have warning my game out and looking for another one lol, the only thing that did not give this game a 5 star rating is the fact you can not save your game from you last game played, if this was on it then i would give it a 5 star
