Classic: Survive as long as you can in this game of Classic Tetris! Rotate the Tetriminos to complete each line, mastering the art of clearing multiple rows, even hard dropping Tetriminos for maximum high scores. It's Game Over when your stacks of incomplete rows prevent new Tetriminos from entering the Matrix.

Stratosphere: Watch out for ricocheting meteors in Stratosphere Tetris! Moving through the anti-gravity atmosphere, these meteors can be your friend or foe. Learn to use them to get out of tight spots, while refining your reflexes to recover from blasted rows and intercepted Tetriminos. Watch for the shooting stars, which send the unpredictable meteors crashing into your Matrix!

Earthquake: Earthquake Tetris incorporates the challenging elements of Tetris Cascade with earth-shaking tremors for added challenge! Sudden jarring rumbles shake your screen and knock your Tetriminos out of queue. Survive these earthly outbursts to increase your score.

Tempest: Prove you can manage two Matrices in Tempest Tetris! Watch for caution alarms and lightning that warns of your switching Matrix. To master this game, remember which pieces you need on the other side and hold them for a double high score.

Fire: Hard drop your Tetriminos in Fire Tetris for a superheated chain reaction. Heat enough pieces in a row to cause a fiery explosion that clears up to eight lines at once!

Ice: Feel a chill as you attempt to clear each row in Ice Tetris. Growing icicles break from the icy Matrix, slamming down all Tetriminos in their path. Steer clear of falling icicles that will take your Tetrimino down, or use your razor sharp reflexes to get your Tetrimino in the icicle's path to trigger a winning cascade.

I saw the box for this on a shelf a few weeks ago and suddenly realized how long it had been since I'd played Tetris. I didn't even have any Tetris variants on my current PC. Playing this is like being reunited with an old friend.

There's a cool feature that allows you to use any mp3 you have on your system as background music during the game. The default music is pretty dull, but I've now got my own personalized Tetris soundtrack by Prodigy, They Might Be Giants and Björk.

I can't see buying this package if you've already got a different version of Tetris that you regularly play. The elemental variant games are interesting (I actually really like the Fire and Wind games) but not that different from classic Tetris (which is good - why mess with a good thing, eh?). If, like, until recently, me, you don't have Tetris at all anymore, this is a reasonable way to reacquaint yourself with it.

The graphics are very poor and there is no way to use a controller, you must use the keyboard.

I agree with the previous reviewer about the inferior graphics. I expected much more for my money, and once the disk is initialized, you cannot return it. So don't waste your money on this product.
