I have never played "Tetris Plus" for any other console, although I know it exists for the PlayStation and original Game Boy. I do not know anything about the differences between the versions, and as such cannot compare the Saturn version to them.

This is a decent incarnation of Tetris. Very addicting, as almost all of them; I often spend hours at a time on it. That said, I do not own Tetris for any other consoles, though I do sometimes play it online. This is a fun game, and if you have a Saturn and do not have Tetris, you would be wise to buy this, although admittedly not many people would fall into that category. The only complaint I have about the "classic" Tetris gameplay is that the blocks start falling at the higher speeds before very long at all, but when you progress to the next "level" - a seamless and unnoticable transition - the blocks start falling at reasonable speeds again. This can be confusing, but it just goes to show that if you want to be a true Tetris master, you must be ready for anything.

The other gameplay styles are mostly forgettable. I don't remember the names of them, but one of them involves a professor walking over your tetrominoes as they hit the ground, and you must clear rows to the ground so he can escape the chamber. The two-player mode is like this, except that a ceiling of spikes slowly drops down, putting a defined time cap on your gameplay. There is no two-player version of the basic Tetris gameplay, which is disappointing. However, two players can still have a good time competing to best each other's high scores, which are stored on the machine.
