best. game. ever.

other newer tetris games have tried to beat this version.
it can't be done.

[Hey] yeah here comes a game of true skill!
it might not at all look much but hey it fantastic!

its very much strategy in it acually move yer cubes and forms until they form a row, its allways a[great] feel when you get for lines in a row and you get to here that flashing sound

its a great game play it with yer friends and siblings and try to beat eachothers high score and that russian dance music in the back ground me love it! or the classical it doesn't matter all the soundtracks [are super]!

this is also a very entertaining game since you can pick difrent speeds or row's to be on the floor when starting, this is it!
it has more variation than ye think!

This arrived on NES after nintendo won the rights to tetris in a legal battle. The Tengen(Atari) NES version was so much better. It has smoother gameplay (blocks don't get caught on others simply by slightly touching screwing you in the process) it has more songs, better grahpics and it over all a way better version. This version is decent but is not the origional or anything near the best version I have played in my day.

This is indeed a great NES game with true simplicity and addictive fun! It is a fast-paced game of forming lines and avoiding hitting the ceiling with your bricks! You must be witty and wise to beat this game because only the best of the best can win!

Although not very colorful in graphics, Tetris was one of those games that never got old. It's hard to explain why but it was one of those many games of the old NES world that you could play and play and play and all you could do was get better. Sounds a little familiar (Pokemon and stuff now).

This was a game of strategy, playing the field and what you were given and knowing when to go for the big score. It's a game that is often copied but very far and few is it ever outdone.

Tetris was much better than Tetris 2. Tetris 2 tried too hard to complicate a simple idea, go for rows but now you have to fill cracks and color code. Again, get Tetris and if you really like these types of games, pick up Dr. Mario.

Don't get me wrong. Tetris is a great game. The block-dropping gameplay is seriously addicting. However, the game is only for one player, and there are no special features other than the song choices.

Tengen's Tetris is actually a lot better. If you don't believe me, take a good look at my review for it or watch gameplay videos.

This has always been my favorite game of all time! I love playing this game on this platform. I prefer it way better than all the other versions of Tetris that are out. Good times and great memories!

Tetris was known for being a fun and addictive puzzle game where you fit pieces together to form and clear lines on the screen. This game was bundled with the original Game Boy and was a smash hit in 1989. Over a year later, Nintendo released it for the NES. It's exactly like Tetris for the Game Boy with the only difference being is color.

It's a fun game but there was only one mode of play: the classic marathon. You start a game and clear as many lines as you can for the entire game. It gets harder as you move up on levels, meaning the blocks drop faster. The game ends when the screen fills up with blocks. So if you wanted to experience the fun of Tetris and play in quick 10 to 15 minute sessions, this one was for you. Otherwise, you can get the latest versions of it for the Nintendo DS, 3DS and Wii.

Most addictive game EVER!!! Recommend the Game Boy version because it has better music, but still!!! This game is great!

Opened it up, in decent condition; got to me in record time, too! It didn't play at first when I put it in the machine, and I had a hard time getting it to play every time I took out of the machine. I have a bit more patience than most, so I calmly take it out and put it back in until it works. I figure it's almost as old as I am, I don't think I'll find one in perfect condition. As for Tetris itself, I dream of this game. Even when I'm at work, talking to a co-worker, I see blocks that need to be eliminated. I wish I would have never bought it. I can't stop. I just can't stop.
