***note DO NOT BUY THESE. If you have, they probably fell apart. If so just return to teva and they will gladly give you store credit towards your next purchase. Teva is aware of the problem with these and will definitely make sure that you are satisfied with your next pair. I am leaving you the review as posted just so you can know what my initial experience was like.***

This shoe is great for walking through rain, puddles and mud. I used to wear running shoes walking to and from work. Whenever it rained even if I managed to avoid every single puddle, my shoes would still have gotten soaked. I simply got tired of wet, cold feet all day. These shoes are a blessing.

pros:
-waterproof
-comfortable
-fit true to length and width
-breathable

cons:
-walking on concrete or normal floor surfaces can feel slightly awkward at first since these shoes are made for the trail.

other comments:
-low ankle design, which I like but some might not.
-pour water on them and watch it bead off not absorbing a drop. its fun

best uses:
warm to cool weather where nature throws a lot of water and nastiness at you. They are probably fine for moderate snow but haven't tried under those conditions yet.

UPDATE: after 5 months of use I am noticing the sole coming off one foot! I am devastated as I love these shoes very much. I do wear these shoes at least 5 times a week for light walking use, some occasional trail running, and hiking. But I don't think my use is very abusive (I treat these shoes very well besides intended use).

UPDATE: Teva gladly accepted these shoes back and gave me a full refund of what I payed for them. I used them to buy the Teva Riva Event. I would recommend the riva. They are a bit heavier but haven't fallen apart after 6 months. I have noticed that the heel padding tends to bunch up if i accidentally step on it. This creates a uncomfortable blob of cushion jabbing at the heel. A little smoothing out and all is well again. I do love Teva's feel and style. They're manufacturing integrity is still being decided. Besides the heel, these shoes are holding up remarkably well.

The shoes are very comfortable, good waterproofing, but... in 4 weeks the treads have separated from the sole of the shoe. Terrible workmanship. Not worth the money.

After about 4 months of regular use (about 5 days a week) plus the occasional hiking or trail excursion, the bottom sole started pealing away. Apparently, this is a regular problem of this particular model. However, Teva is an awesome company that stands by their products. I have been able to return the shoes online through teva's website for a warranty exchange thats good for up to a year after date of purchase. I'm sad because I really loved this model, which is discontinued. I'm exchanging for the event riso which looks good too (a leather version as opposed to the synthetic looking olive green which I preferred).

Pros:

superb waterproof functionality (I love stepping in 2 inch puddles and not get wet when crossing streams).

Cons:
sole peeled off after only 4 months

Me and my brother both own these shoes and it is not a question of if the sole will come unglued but a question of when. Mine: 4 weeks of regular use - Brother's: 3 weeks of regular use.

I found out the other day that my brother literally just threw his pair in the trash. Hopefully Teva will stand behind their product and give me another shoe though. Anyone have any suggestions or a fix for this shoe? I absolutely love this shoe, but kind of need a sole on it.

I really enjoyed getting my Teva Anisos, they look awesome, they come acrossed as gray (charcoal) in actual daylight but when in artificial lighting they have a burgony look to them. They also have awesome insoles, the shoes look and feel great. When running in the rain or water it just beeds off, sadly I found after three weeks of running in them the traction on the bottom instep began falling off, Im wondering if this is a common occurence? I glued them and they work fine now, little frustrating though.

Update:

After 8 months and a lot of water, the bottom sole of the shoe started to peel off as other stated. They used cheap glue. I sent the shoe back to Teva and they gave me a Teva's store credit of 100, since this item is out of stock or discontinued on their website. This is the only style I like fro Teva, but I guess I have to get something else. Teva's customer service is top notch. They emailed me and responded to my call very fast. They back up their product and sent me a new model Teva Men's Riva Leather Event Hiking Shoe, since this one has been discontinued.

I think this is one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I got and I am comparing this to tennis shoes. First off, it is for outdoors and I used it on muddy trail. It simple design and the charcoal color is easy to wash the mud off and still looking good. The traction and Teva's Ortholite sole are very comfortable and flexible. The shoe Event design is to keep mud and water out, but still be breathable. I got to say it works.

I was so impressed with these pair of shoes that I only brought one pair of shoes to work around in London for a week and it was these. It beat out my black Adidas's Bounce shoe. It did get a little hot even with the event breathable design, but that was minor. Only mesh running shoes would be more breathable then this, but aren't as rugged as these. The charcoal color is the best color to blend with the outdoors and city walking. Even the little orange color didn't stick out too much in London, otherwise it fits perfectly in Seattle.

with not much use the sole of the shoe cames out i though it was very resisten for the "waterproof" carateritic now i have it like this and tere is no way to get a new one.

I purchased this back in 2009. Unfortunately for me there weren't that many negative reviews. When I first got them they were great. They were very comfortable. Very light, breathable, and best of all waterproof. But as other customers have noted the soles start separating from the bottom, particularly near the front of the shoe. I tried gluing it back and it ended up separating again. I'm disappointed, and would not recommend buying these shoes. I gave it a 2-star rating because it is at least waterproof.

This shoe (Aniso with E-vent) is a simply a superb shoe...warm, dry and oh so comfortable; I insisted on getting another pair (these are my seoond!). You could not do much better than this shoe, seriously.

The sole started peeling off after only a couple of days.
I got a cobbler to glue it back on and it is coming off again.

And now they have started squeaking!

I am extremely disappointed, because Teva used to make quality products.
They are good looking shoes, but I would steer clear of these!!
