I dug out my old snow boots recently, tried them on, and said to myself "there is no way I can walk around town a few miles in these." They were so heavy! So, I did a quick look around for some replacements, saw some great reviews for bogs mid level boots, saw some reviews that said they were light and ordered a pair. Boy was I surprised when I received the bogs and they were just as heavy as the old ones. Then I started looking very closely at the weights of different snow boots, emailing manufacturers when I couldn't find out the weight easily. These, and it's brothers at Teva, were the ONLY ones I could find that were insulated and significantly lighter than everything else. If you are just feeding the pigs or shoveling your walk, most other winter boots, including the boggs, should be fine. But if you need to walk miles in the snow, slush and cold, these are fantastic.

(To read my earliest review of this product, read the second paragraph)

so this is my review of this product after few weeks. Valdez AK is THE snowiest place in the US, and yesterday it snowed about 20 inches, mixed with rain. I just got done shoveling out the snow around two cars for about an hour and a half in these boots. Not a single drop of water seeped in from anywhere. I was fearing the slush I was constantly wading through, and I am thoroughly delighted and overjoyed that I bought this product. I also notice that the price has been restored to $112! Dang, I was soo lucky. Don't hesitate; buy this. This is coming from someone who has already seen 25 inches and looking forward to five hundred inches of snow and slush this year.

I have a Columbia Omni Heat Silicox and have been using that for a while. So, after shopping for quite some days, I stumbled upon this because I was looking for something a bit taller. This shoe is perfect, and I live in Alaska. It is waterproof, quite breathable, and perfect fit. Other reviewers who complained about not fitting into these; they perhaps did not give the boots time to break in. Your feet can get quite toasty because the insulation is superlative and can give you more warmth than you desire. I'd suggest not wearing Merino wool socks with it. I got these browns on sale for $47; I have no idea why. The color is not ugly brown but a nice, dark chocolate brown, much better than the stock black (which is inexplicably priced at $119). All in all, a very worthy buy. You won't regret it!

I was a bit worried when I saw a few reviews state that they were size a bit off for some, but I have been a 12 in many different brands and it holds true with these. They were a bit snug the first couple of time worn but what shoe isn't.

I waited about two months to provide feedback so that I could use the boots and report real data.
    - Kept feet warm on our coldest day 5F
    - Never once got wet, even after snow melted and wore in heavy slush
    - can wear all day and no soreness
    - and best part is they are not over sized so I can drive my stick shift car with no issues

Overall I love these boots and am very happy with them. I use them for snow shoveling, snow shoeing, hiking in snow and sledding with the kids.

The boots look good and feel extremely light. They are just built very very narrow. I bounce between a 10.5 - 11 depending on brand. I ordered these shoes in an 11.5, I am on the verge of needing wide widths but these are tighter than anything I have ever purchased. It is too bad I was hopefull these would work.

I was sick of cold feet at work day in, day out. After looking through a variety of insulated boots, these Bormios offered the a more "minimalist" movement/ lack of heel which attracted me right away. The insulation is perfect for my current situation and has met and exceeded my expectations. Wearing Wigwam wool socks and these boots is almost too much! I highly recommend these boots for individuals in cold weather who need toasty feet.

I read reviews of people complaining these boots are to narrow, not for me, they fit perfectly. My feet normally cramp when the temperature drops below 32 degrees, these boots keep my feet nice and warm, no cramping with the 5 degrees temperature we had yesterday. Did I forget to mention they are extremely light?

I bought this boot mainly to use everyday during Russian winter. I have also Salomon snow boot and can compare these one with it.
    So pros:
    + Very light
+ Comfortable to use during driving a car (Salomon or Columbia ones are too big to use with clutch pedal)
+ Rubber in the bottom - very good for sluch and anti ice reagent in the city

    Cons:
    - No so warm like a Salomon or Columbia, needs warm socks, comfortable to use till max -10 C, you can not stay without movement when -20 C or more (i.e. you just need to move everytime to warm your feet)
