Very comfortable though tight fitting. It's basically a flip-flop sole with a soft leather top. Something between a Chukka and a Moccasin. Light weight and light duty. If you're looking for a work boot or trail shoe look elsewhere.

For the price, this was a great purchase. I was glad that other buyers gave feedback about the boot. I did see that the boot size runs small. I where a size 14, so I ordered a size 15, perfect fit. For me, this is a great winter boot. The inner lining is very warm and comfortable. The boot is also light, soi that is a welcome surprise as well. Wearing a heave boot all day can be tiring. The boot looks great as well. My 16 year old daughter commented on how nice the boot looks (I figure anytime a teenage daughter tells her father that something you are wearing looks nice, it must be ok). I am very happy with this buy!

I am a woman who envies the comfort of men's shoes and boots. As a woman, my feet are usually too small to find any kind of cool selection of shoes/boots in the men's categories. Even "boys" sizes are minimal. So, when something as practical and neat as a Teva mush-soled LEATHER Chukka boot emerges from the pack, well, of course I'm going to buy a pair.

As a constant customer of Amazon, I've learned to read ALL the reviews before purchasing anything--especially shoes and clothing. Thank all the shoe gods I did. These Teva's are tiny! A full up--a men's full size up, mind you--and they still could use a little wiggle room at the openings. However, because they are real leather, and it's a thin leather, I'm sure they will stretch to accommodate my woman's ankle just fine. Pay close attention to the other reviewers. They tell the truth, people!

The boot is handsome. The black version has a brick-red cool sole with some decent tread on the bottoms. The mush interior is all Teva and the biggest plus of the boot. The laces are strong. The fleece around the ankles pads the boot and keeps blisters from forming, right from the start. I like the mush interior, but you should note, if you get the right size, you could always add another inner-sole to your specs. The toe box is nice and roomy, once your foot is inside the boot. These are definitely "metro-sexual"--Omni-gendered--late-autumn to early winter indoor shoes. With jeans or cords, particularly smart. Compliments abound--and nobody has to know about the "fleece collar", if that kind of thing bothers you. Wink. Wink. Well worth the gamble but remember: SIZE UP!

Wasn't sure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews on these. They sole ended up being incredibly light and squishy...similar to a flip-flop sole but a bit more rugged and durable feeling--yet super lightweight. I normally wear between a 10 and a 10.5 so I ordered these in an 11. Right toe box felt larger than on the left, but I have pretty symmetrical feet so I don't think that there were any irregularities in my foot structure that might account for the noticeable different fit between the left & right food boot. Either way, they looked cool but were just too snug. I would have ordered a size 12 and most likely been pleased but they were out of 12s when I began engaging the return process--which was quick & easy in traditional Amazon fashion. Giving them 4 star rating based on my "introduction-only" experience with the product. Looks like they would have been a fun indoor lightweight boot.

I love these boots! If you're expecting the husky build of a red wing or Doc Martin boot, these probably aren't for you. I also wouldn't recommend hiking in these -- the "Mush" refers to the Teva-style footbed. So imagine taking a comfy Teva sole and buliding a boot around it with leather...that's pretty much what these are, and I love 'em.

I'm going to wear these to work on nice winter days -- if you're from a cold climate, you know what I'm talking about. Not sure I'd want to wear these in slushy or snowy conditions.

Great buy!

***Update March 2015: Been wearing these all winter long for work. Holding up better than expected, although we've had a lot less snow this year in MN. Really great deal for a good pair of shoes***

Just about everything with this shoe, in all its simplicity, is excellent. Really, a general purpose comfortable and casual item that is just like wearing sneakers, but with some fashionable overtones. If you like chukkas, you'll like these. I'm impressed with the lining and genuine leather uppers with a super-soft 'Mush' foam sole that seems to customize to the wearer's footprint (like a flip flop; maybe, that's what they meant?).

I don't think that these shoes would be good in cold, damp weather. Nor, in snow and ice. Also, they're not hiking boots.

One very very important note: these run really small. The first pair I had to return to Amazon--no problems. They sent me another larger size pair that fits pretty good. I had to order 1.5 sizes over my normal size (9.5) to get a comfortable fit with plenty of room in the toe-box with minimal slack in the heel region. The opening wrapped well around in the ankle region with no chafing.

One thing I don't want are tight shoes!

Also, the sale price was steps ahead wherever I checked (no pun intended).

Bad quality. Sole deteriorate fast. Do not waste your money. Seller says it's Teva's fault and does not accept return once wear outside.

Pros: Fit is not bad, I wear US men's 7 usually, bought a size 8 and fits perfect. It's pretty comfortable and breaks in quickly.

Cons: These keep the bottom of my feet really warm, to the point where they sweat. However, they don't keep the top of my feet warm at all, and it gets a little breezy. Bottom of my feet = super warm/sweaty, Top of my feet = super cold. See the problem here?

It's not a bad item for the price... but I wouldn't recommend it.

As everyone has already reported buy larger than usual. Despite that, they are nice shoes for the price. They need time to be broken in.

Size was just a touch small, but still very comfortable and warm. These do a nice job of insulating in cold weather.
