This time Teva integrated the the softer material for the foot side and the harder more durable for the sole, making them much more comfortable while providing more durability and a bit more traction by adding a different tread pattern. I find the velcro provides a better variation of fit as well, and this model has that also, so of the several versions of Teva I have gone through in the last few years, these are my favorites so far.

I bought these for my husband even though he is not a sandal wearer. He is now a convert! He loves them! They are true to size- he's a 10.5 and wears a 10 in Tevas. The sandals are well made and keep feet comfy even after a long day of sight seeing or casual wear. Highly recommend! :o)

the padding is good for your feet, but the plastic loop on the top of your feet by your toes cuts into your flesh, also after having these for a couple months the super strong latex/plastic smell is still chugging along *gag*. the build quality is fine, if not so much on the execution with that front plastic loop.
