5.0 out of 5 stars First-rate successor to 'classic' Teva sandal
Terra Fi 3 is a first-rate successor to the 'classic' Teva sandal. Fit and comfort are excellent from first use, and, unlike the flimsier Hurricane model, footbed construction is comparable to the classic Teva. Footbed improvements include more-upturned heel cup in back, and 'shock-pad' directly under heel for added support; after a month of wear, I like both. I wear my...

I wear my Teva's all day, every day from April thru November, and wish every shoe I bought was this comfortable and functional. Just bought a second pair for beach/biking/whatever.

2.0 out of 5 stars Step Down from Terra Fi 2, July 19, 2011
****THE RATING OF THIS PRODUCT IS INFLATED****
--It seems that amazon removed the last Terra Fi 3 product and then imported select reviews to the new Terra Fi 3 listing. I just noticed when looking back on my original review that it no longer existed and neither was there a link to the product. Fortunately my review history still had the product so I just cut and pasted the last review I made -- you can verify by looking at my reviews. Lesson learned -- amazon reviews are not necessarily trust worthy.

REVIEW
I had a pair of Terra Fi 2 sandals for the past 8 years, they were wonderful. When I saw some Terra Fi 3's for sale for ~$35 from sierra trading post I jumped on it even though my TF2's still have some life in them.

What a dissappointment -- don't get me wrong, they were worth every penny of $35, but they are a let down after the great quality of the TF2's.

Pros
The foot bed is an improvement from the TF2

Cons
1. Shock pad is a nuisance, it doesn't add anything, just feels like some extra dense , less giving material under my heel -- thanks but I would rather something softer under my heel.

2. There is less padding layer between the straps and your foot as compared to the TF2 -- this makes the TF3 a bit less comfortable.

Bottom line -- I would reccomend if you can get them on sale, otherwise, I would pass.

1.0 out of 5 stars New models aren't always better..., May 8, 2011
I was hoping to replace my old Teva Terra Fi (SN 6673). But the new version Terra Fi 3 was a huge disappointment.
The harder sole (due to the ShocPad) and the new (not as comfortable) footbed made me look elsewhere.

Teva, please give us the original Terra Fi back!

I have had trouble with support with many shoes. This is one great sandal that does have support and is true to size.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great sandal, August 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
well after my 1st pair of Tevas lasting only 15yrs, i broke down & got a new pair... yes, i know these sandals are pricey but if they hold up anything like the last pair, its really a bargain. i wear sandals the most part of 3 seasons a year, daily walking, vacations, camping/hiking in the river, lake, ocean, any & everywhere. these new Terra Fi 3's have got all the latest upgrades... 1st off the strap system is the best out there, don't get me wrong, i like my Keen's a lot, but i enjoy the feel of the Teva's even more. 2nd they have this shock pad system that is a great enhancement over the older tevas. (i read some reviews on how the shock pad was uncomfortable & even causing problems, & after reading further, i found there was a bad few batches from the factory in the beginning of production, but that has all been rectified now according to Teva; & my pair are doing fine. 3rd the foot bed & sole of the sandal are firm, yet its not too firm as to be uncomfortable, another improvement from what i have worn in the past. Finally there is this new spider rubber on the tread... can't really speak good or bad on it because its unnoticeable to me, i haven't slipped yet, so i guess it works.
well its another great sandal from Teva, (what else would you expect). i also have a pr of the Teva Zilch & as my every day sandals; i save these for the more extreme surfaces of hiking, beaches & such.
can't go wrong with a Teva on you foot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sandals, Great Price, Great Service, September 19, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Try on all the active sandals you want, price them locally and on line, then buy these at Amazon. They're comfortable, sturdy, and the best looking sandals around. I don't have them very long, so I can't tell you how long they'll last, but they look and feel like they'll last forever. I guess you can tell that I like them.

5.0 out of 5 stars comfortable sandals, May 13, 2010

Though I cringed at paying so much for sandals, after getting a different brand last year that didn't make it through the summer, I thought I'd give these a try. I have had them for about 2 months now and have only worn them a few times. However, I have found them to be extremeley comfortable. The built in support and the cushioning is great. I have also found that they stay on my feet when walking on side hills as well as up and down. I would definately get these again assuming that they last like I expect them to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Teva Men's Terra Fi 3 Sandal, January 24, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Being a longtime Teva wearer, I am pleased to say my new sandal is everything I anticipated. The styling, size, color, fit and comfort is right on the money. I purchased the Terra Fi 3 to replace a well worn original waterproof Teva sandal I have been wearing for at least 15 years. I like the water sandal capability, as I rotate it with my leather Teva sandals I use when it is not raining or wet. The Terra Fi 3 is a much improved product from what I am retiring. The straps are more secure and comfortable, as is the foot-bed and arch support. Even though I have not worn it outside yet, I can tell with inside wear and experimentation, it will be perfect. I can't wait for warm sandal weather to arrive in Michigan so I can wear it often.

1.0 out of 5 stars Remove the shock pad!!, November 18, 2011
I tried the original Fi 3, then the newer model with a supposedly software shock pad, and they both had the same effect. It feels like you have a stone in your shoe. Why would ANYONE want a shock pad that's harder than the rest of the footbed? Doesn't the heel take the most pressure? This remains the dumbest design idea I've ever seen, and I will never buy another pair of Tevas until the shock pad is completely removed.
