We like the sandal. It's great for the beach. If your child is at 5 1/2, go with the 4-5 size... the 6 was huge! they get pretty dirty and need to be washed frequently as the ridges in the sole make my sons feet very dirty.

My baby (16 months old) has a "chubby" feet and for that it is almost impossible to find him any kind of shoes. This sandals are just the best deal for him! They are solid, safe and seems to be very comfortable for his wide chubby little precious feet.

I keep buying these shoes, just in bigger sizes. She'll be 2 in 3 weeks, and as soon as we received them, she wanted to put them on. They must be very comfortable, as my daughter wore these all of last summer. Her daycare has a water room, and she wears them in there. She loves them!! The typical water shoes must hurt her feet, rub on the top, or just don't feel good. She never complains about these. I keep a pair for her to wear all summer, and another pair for daycare to use. The sizing is also great, as you can adjust the velcro as their feet grow. The beauty is you can wear these as everyday shoes, as well as to the pool and beach. I highly recommend and will continue to purchase.

I used to make fun of my husband's Tevas- I called them his "ugly shoes." Well, these aren't that cute, but my child will wear them, they have great support and soft uppers. I love them, even though they cost a small fortune. I think that they are worth it for the amount of use he will be getting out of them, and I am contemplating getting him another pair for when he outgrows the ones I just bought.

Each year I want to get my kiddo some water shoes and each year I hope that I can get him in the keen brand shoes, but without fail, they are always too narrow! These TEVA sandals are by far the best I have found year after year for my little guy's wide feet! They are a good fit all summer long and the flap across the top of the foot makes for good sun protection too! Even after a full summer of use, the sandals are in great condition, the soles held up, the velcro remained intact. I have no complaints at all! These shoes are great! Unless your child has a super skinny foot, you really can't beat these sandals! Even if your child's foot is narrow, these would likely still work - I just mean you would have more options with other brands as well. I have sought these out every summer... And the color selection I have seen on Amazon is by and far the widest I have seen anywhere (and I have looked everywhere!). These are HIGHLY recommended water sandals!!!

I bought a pair of these for my one and three year old sons. They are perfect water shoes on hot days when the sand at the beach or cement around the pool has reached blistering degrees.

I don't recommend them for everyday use. Both boys have tripped on the toe because the shoe fits differently from one time to the next. Depending how the straps are set the foot is farther forward or back on the sole. So they are never quite steady. Also, the don't strap snugly on the foot and they are very easy to pull open. My one year old likes to pull them off and drop them out of his stroller. I am amazed we still have the complete set.

These sandals were brought for my 1 year old and they fit great. The product definitely runs big. In all other shoes my son usually wear 3/4, after reading the other reviews I went with the smaller size. Great choice! I will be buying this sandal in another color. Love the fit!

I ordered a size 6 for my 18 month old girl. They're more like a size 7 but she still wears them and loves them. She will have lots of time to grow into them. I'm very happy with these sandals. They're very comfortable and soft on the top of her foot & secure and the width is adjustable. Very easy to put on. Great for the beach & rainy days too!

Thanks to another reviewer, I bought size 6 for my daughter, who takes a 6.5 - 7 in stride rite. It's plenty big enough! So glad I didn't get the size 7; I'm a little concerned that it may be too big (and it could be narrower) and she'll trip, but we will see. I don't think I could have bought a size down. The shoe seems sturdy and comfortable, and although she's not yet worn it out of the house (because of the weather..), I look forward to her having this useful, waterproof shoe for the summer. Only downside is that she's proud of being able to take the sandals off herself, and I'm worried that she'll do it at some inconvenient time...

After looking everywhere for a nice pair of play sandals, I purchased these. We've only had them a little over a week and my 2 year old daughter has worn them every day. We purchased the hot pink color and it is a very nice color that goes with so much of her clothing. The sandals have nice arch support and are easy to put on and take off. We ordered the toddler size 6 and they fit well. She has plenty of toe room at the top and she shouldn't outgrow them before summer ends. I'm sure the size 5 would have been too small. The 6's give her extra room but not too much that she would be tripping over them. I'm glad I ordered the size she is normally in. Next summer I will order these to begin with and save myself lots of aggravation.
