I've been a big fan of the Teva Olowahu (nylon) sandal for years. I was super excited to see this in leather so I ordered my normal size 7 that I have the nylon ones in. Way too small! I compared this 7 to my other Teva Olowahu sandal, size 7, and there was a world of difference in the length' these were at least a 1/4" smaller. I returned them.

I decided to take a chance and order the 8s in case they fit more like a normal size 7. I received the 8s yesterday and they fit like a charm! When I compared these to my other Teva Olowahu sandals, the cut (shape of the shoe bed) is a little different but the length of the shoe is the same. I've been wearing them since I received them and so far I'm happy with the 8s.

The Olowahu sandal is very cute, comfortable, secure, and has some arch support, which I really like. If you order these, please order up a size!

My wife really liked them. But, as a warning, being leather - they were REALLY tight when she first tried them on. But, they did start to stretch out pretty quickly. She mentioned a size bigger probably would have fit better initially, but over time, the size we got was definitely the right size - just had to give it time to stretch out.

I saw the other reviews that they start out small and then your feet begin to stretch them to fit. I was okay with that, but the first significant walk that I took in them they were very squeaky the whole way! I instantly printed out the return form and will be returning them tomorrow. I do not recommend these sandals unless you want everyone to hear you walking!

These sandals arrived quickly with prime. I normally wear an 8.5 but I saw other reviews hat said these ran a little small so I got the 9. The straps are really really really snug. And they are leather so they probably would have stretched out but what I couldn't get over is the farthest outside strap. The one that cuts at the pinky toe. Right where it hit and how tight is was there was no way I could stand to wear these enough to stretch them out, and not even sure they would stretch enough not to hurt that area. I have normal to narrow feet which is why I don't understand how tight these were. The two straps cut off the pinky toe where the toe meets the foot, and then another strap comes across right below that, the skin or foot fat in that area was being pushed out and looked like I had a bunion or something there (which I don't.) So I'm returning these shoes. They were cute (minus the faux bunion look) but the fit is way wrong. Maybe if I'd gotten the size 10 but not going to risk the shipping if I have to return the second pair too. Disappointed since I usually love teva brand. See how red it turns because its so tight at the base of pinky toe?? Wanted to live these since they're cute.

I love these sandals! I wear between a 7.5 and an 8 (I'm actually a true 8N but no one makes narrow shoes so it usually works best for me to go down a half size so the fit isn't sloppy) and I found the size 8 in these flip flops to be perfect. The length is just right for me - plenty of space so my feet fit comfortably in the foot bed without toes or heels hanging over but not so much that they look sloppy. I have a very old pair of Olawahu flips with the nylon straps in size 7 and an old pair of Mush flips in size 8. These are somewhere in between. The straps do fit snugly at first but will ease up with wear (bummer for me!). They'll also mold nicely to your feet with wear and they are sooo comfortable. Great price for a high quality pair of flip flops. I wish they came in a whole rainbow of colors!

Very narrow and just too small. I usually love Teva sandals and they usually fits my feet perfectly but definitely not these ones.

I ordered these sandals in my regular size, (8) and they were very tight, and shorter than the size 8 Olawahu nylon sandals that I usually wear. I returned them and ordered a 9, which came today. Fits perfectly. The problem, as someone else has mentioned, is they squeak! Not when walking forward, but when turning side-to-side in them. (My husband thought I was farting! #notwithprobioticsonboard) Anyway, I am on a mission to dispel this problem tout suite, and if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. It's clearly the leather rubbing against my bare feet, so I'm thinking maybe rough the surface up a bit with some fine sandpaper, and see how that goes. I have heard of baby powder and the like, but I'd like a more permanent solution. That said, this sandal was comfortable from the moment I put them on, and I've been wearing them all day. I have no doubt they will be as comfortable, and more so, as I go on. Just got to get that squeak!!

Size 11 is the largest size this comes in, and since this is my size, I can't go up a half size because the manufacturer didn't size them correctly. Shoe companies need to get on the ball with sizing issues and demand that their manufacturers use a standardized measurement so all shoes are sized correctly. If they don't, then shoe companies should find another manufacturer who can follow our standards. Why should the consumer have to accommodate their mistakes by having to return their sandals and reorder a bigger size? What an inconvenience for us. Teva and other shoe companies need to take responsibility for accepting poor sizing standards and then misrepresenting their product by saying it's a certain size when in fact it's not! It's like buying a ruler and finding out it only measures 11-1/2" instead of 12", it's that ridiculous.

These are great sandals. The leather is very smooth and soft - they didn't need any breaking in at all, and no blisters or rubbing spots. The only thing I did notice is the actual sandal length is a little shorter than the fabirc Olowahu. I didn't need to go up in size, but almost, so if you wear one size in the Olowahu and your foot goes all the way to the back, you might want to go up 1/2 size in the leather. I had a little room in my fabric Olowahus at the back so the leather fit perfectly without my heel hanging over. They also have a more solid rubber bottom sole (against the ground, not the foot) than the foam bottom of the fabric Olowahu - it's is a little tougher and I think it's worth the higher price because I'm pretty sure they will last longer. These sandals are definitely a new favorite of mine!!

Love these shoes! I don't like Rainbows but I really wanted a pair of leather sandals. I have two pairs of the Teva mush flip-flops, which I love, so I knew how Tevas would fit. They are VERY tight at first but they WILL loosen up. Buy your normal size and try to suffer through the first several wears. They are uncomfortable at first but now they fit like a glove!!
