Purchased for tubing and hiking this summer - they fit as expected, and dry very easily!
Wore my new Teva's yesterday for a long walk on the beach and they fit and felt great.
Shoe fit perfect and gave good traction on slippery river rocks.

I am an avid river kayaker. I have worn the leather Keen Newports for the past 11 years, and last Sunday was their last trip in the river. I liked the Keens OK, but am sick and tired of them filling with rocks and sand every time I step in the current. Replaced them with these Teva's today. There are no openings for pebbles to get inside, and the venting has fine mesh under them to help prevent them from filling with sand so quickly. Will post a performance review again after completing a 50 mile race in a month. If you are a river rat, shoes with open sides are a pain. I ordered 6 pairs, saw the potential for sand and rocks infiltrating the vents, and am returning all but these.

    Update 7/21/14:
I completed a 50 mile kayaking race on Saturday, and encountered a variety of river bottom conditions - gravel, rock, sand, mud. These shoes were great for all those conditions. They stayed on my feet in the muck, kept out gallons of sand and gravel, and didn't feel like my feet were being sliced to ribbons on rock. In fact, I didn't even think about my feet in those 50 miles, and that says a lot - these shoes are a keeper!

These are listed as water shoes, I use them for hiking and walking. I have very bad arthritis in my feet and it is hard to find a shoe that these are comfortable. As soon as I put them on I knew they were a winner. Love them, wear them around town and for hikes. Liked them so much I bought a second pair.

Wore my new Teva's yesterday for a long walk on the beach and they fit and felt great. Very light weight shoe for packing and very comfortable without socks. I would highly recommend them. Cannot wait to try them for kayaking.

Shoe fit perfect and gave good traction on slippery river rocks. Would recommend these for anyone even as an all around shoe.

I had high expectations for these water shoes. I have a pair of Teva sandals that I absolutely love - sturdy, nice looking, good arch support. That's why I ordered these. Unfortunately, I am pretty disappointed. Should have paid closer attention to other reviews and ordered a half size larger than normal. But even then, I wouldn't be very happy with my purchase. I teach aquacise classes several times a week and thought I'd try these for a "back-up" pair so I'd always have a dry pair to put on. I do like the looks of the shoe, and they are very light-weight and dry quickly. However, they don't have much arch support, and I absolutely hate that they actually have regular tie shoestrings. They don't stay tied in the water at all. They also have very poor traction and feel quite slippery on the bottom of the pool. If you want to buy simply for protection of a rough pool bottom, they might be okay, but otherwise I could not recommend these for any type of real exercise.

I needed a new pair of water aerobics shoes and chose TEVA on the recommendation of a friend. I was so pleased at how comfortable they were both in and out of the water. Please consider stretchy shoe laces with a plastic closer rather than regular shoe laces.

I have been wearing these as shoes around the house to make sure they fit ok before our trip to Belize. I am hoping that they will be perfect for hiking to the river and back for our tubing trip.
Update post Belize: wore these to walk to a cave, climb in the cave and then to walk in the stream after tubing. They are very comfortable. However the small rocks and sand in the stream get into the shoes and I had to stop and take them off. Not sure if tying them tighter would help.

I really love how comfortable these are. Seems well made, and my wide foot fits nicely with some room to spare. I wore them without socks at Dorney Park in PA. Was able to keep them on while wet and riding all the rollercoasters. They are not heavy when wet and there was no squish squash sound when I walked. In fact, I think they drained pretty fast for such a closed water shoe.

Another day I wore them with socks to work. They are pretty cute, and versatile. I love the slate with blue color.
