I'm an above-average golfer (shoot mid 80's). Bought these because of dirt-cheap price and wasn't expecting much. Used them for about 10 full rounds and here's what I now think:
Cons: Grips feel a little bit small/thin for my medium-sized male hands. Doesn't seem to negatively impact my feel/shot making. In fact, I noticed just yesterday that my "feel" inside of 70 yards had actually improved. Wondered if the thinner grips made a difference. The black facing on the wedges immediately started wearing off, particularly on the 60-degree wedge when used for sand shots. Personally, I don't care how the clubs look as long as they perform. Pros: These wedges have really sharp grooves that impart a LOT of spin on your shots. I am spinning/stopping shots from as little as 40 yards now. The only downside to this feature is they tend to tear up balls, but I can live with it because my scores are dropping. They seem to have a "heavy" head-to-grip ratio. This works great for me, as I seem to have more feel with these wedges than my old ones. It took some time to adjust, but my distance gauging is dramatically better. For the price, you simply cannot go wrong.

Ive had the clubs for about a week. I finnaly got the chance to try them out, my local favorite course has some serious ruff areas that are notorious for eating balls. The solid construction of these clubs and the shear weight of them allowed me to plow through the grass area with little effort. They do take a bit of time get a feel for them, but now they are my go to clubs for every shot under 80 yards.

These clubs are a welcome addition to my first set of clubs. They literally filled a gap in my bag as I only had a pitching wedge for short play. These three clubs gave me the options that ended with me parring 6 holes that i normally wouldn't have. Well worth the 42 dollars I paid and they shipped fast. I highly recommend these for anyone who doesn't have a good wedge, let alone three matched in their bag.

These are nice wedges, but a little too heavy for me. These are also about 1/2 inch longer than my old wedges, which I consider standard length. I have sold these on EBAY to someone who likes a slightly heavier clubhead. I believe these are very good quality clubs for the price, but they didn't match in weight and length to my other irons.

These wedges have brought my 100 yard and in game to a whole new level. I am able to put good spin on the ball and have lowered my scor but at lease 6 strokes a round. As mentioned in other reviews, the gunmetal coloring does wear a little bit. I have forced myself not to use these on the range to save the color and it seems to be working out.The grips are decent, not the best, and I will be re-gripping the set. I am 5'10" and the length of these clubs is comfortable for my preference. These wedges do put spin on the ball and they do shave the outer covering but to me, its worth having a few balls with knicks in them if it means my score is lowering. Well worth the money and highly recommended.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting a whole lot from these clubs, especially given the price. I needed something to fill some holes in my bag, and these fit the bill.
Aesthetically, the clubs are great, however as mentioned in some of the previous reviews, the black does wear off, and fairly quickly at that. This of course, doesn't affect the playability of the clubs, but it might bother some people. On the course the clubs perform just like wedges. They are a little heavier than most wedges I've played with, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Personally, I really enjoy the way they feel, especially on those short chip or flop shots. The weight really encourages you to let your swing do the work and not try to muscle it. The only thing that I'm not crazy about is the grips on these. They're very hard, and get slippery when wet. This is really a preference things, but coming from Golf Pride Decade Multi-Compound 0.580 Red Ribbed Grip, they just don't stack up. Given the value of these clubs, and since this is a preference, like I mentioned, I can't hit them when it comes to the rating. Overall, I highly recommend these clubs to anyone that is looking for an inexpensive wedge set to fill out their bag!

These wedges truly helped my game and has definitely shaved off a couple stokes off my short game! I would recommend this to anyone who's looking into adding more selections than their pitching and sand wedges.

Best bang for your Buck! I'm not good enough to warrant a set of Vokey's or Cleveland Wedges, so i looked for something that would give me a good selection of loft without breaking the bank. I think these are a wonderful set of Wedges that i plan to carry in my bag for years to come.

Have played several rounds with these wedges and they play as good as any I've ever had. They hit the ball staright and you can spin the ball as good as most other brands. The grips are a bit cheap but adequate. You cannot go wrong for the price. The paint is not coming off on mine. They look great.

I took these clubs out to the range an hour after I received them in the mail. They are very well built for as inexpensive as they are, and should be considered a welcome addition to a beginner's golf bag.
I was looking for some short yardage clubs for those shots that my pitching wedge couldn't make very well and decided not to spend a bunch of money trying to figure out what I needed. The clubs look sharp when they arrive, but I noticed that the black coating on the head of the clubs wears off after only a few strokes at the driving range. If you aren't concerned with the look of the club, it should serve you well. The feel of the grips could be a little better. The plastic/rubber that is used feels a little "plasticy" but they don't slip with use of a glove. All in all, these clubs are a great addition to this novice's bag and I can't wait to get a few rounds under their belt. |
