I ordered this product about 2 weeks ago and it arrived in about 1 week. When I opened it I was disappointed to find it was a left handed putter even though the order page only specifies a right handed option and all of the pictures are also right handed models. I contacted the company and they said they were out of right handed models but right handed models would arrive very soon. I replied to them that I would prefer a refund and they replied curtly to me that right handed models would be available soon. Upon further inspection of the putter, it also appears to be used or produced in a cheap manner because it had wear marks and scratches. I have agreed to wait a week for the right handed putters to arrive (although I didn't seem to have much of a choice). As such, I can't recommend this putter or this company. I am not sure if they are honest or not, but they are not interested in customer satisfaction based on my experience. If I receive the putter I purchased, I will add another more positive review. If you do not see an additional review regarding that outcome, I would not do business with this company.
Update on 12/18/2007. I returned the putter but still haven't received a refund more than 4 weeks later. I am attempting to contact the company one more time and then I will be filing a claim through Amazon. You decide if it is worth the risk.
12/20/07: Final update: Received notice that purchase price was refunded, but not what I paid for shipping which seems unfair because I ordered right and received left-handed model. I really wish the company would have been more forth coming and customer oriented because their product's price is cheap enough to try on a whim but it is been a frustraing experience for me and one I wouldn't recommend for someone else. Perhaps this review will help them become a smarter company.

I bought this item from Amazon a few weeks ago. The shipment arrived promptly. (August, 2008)

Since I had never used a belly putter before, I wasn't going to spend $200 on something I might not like. I practiced with the Texan belly putter for two or three days and then used it in a 45 hole event this weekend. Once you figure out how to use it, you can really hit the ball straight. I believe I will save 2 or 3 strokes per round simply on ten footers I make. Obviously, the putter doesn't do it all for you. You have to read the putt properly and line it up correctly but then the ball goes perfectly on the money.

This putter has good balance and weight. It is a great value for the money. I recommend it to anyone wanting to try a long putter but not wanting to spend $100s.

Worth the price. Great for trying out a belly putter for the first time. Not quite the feel you'd get off a more expensive brand like Odyssey, as expected.

i had priced belly putters recently but couldn't see buying an 'expensive' model when i'm not sure i would like it, like it enough to use it every round anyway.. so when i saw this for $25+ i figured the worst that could happen is that i'd use it as a practice aid, to help groove a solid putting stroke. i'm not a horrible putter, i just need more consistency, because i die a little inside every time i miss a 3-4 footer.. anyway it does take some getting used to, but it puts me in position to make a good stroke. on the other hand, it takes some of my feel away during long putts, which i've heard is one of the cons to these style putters. but should get better with practice. i've had this 3 weeks and i'm starting to see improvements but i'm not convinced it's an everyday putter yet. it seems to be well made, it's got some weight to it, and i like the white ball alignment aid. so even as a practice aid to get the feel of a good putting stroke, it was worth the buy..

I, like many others, bought this item to see if I liked the belly putter style. At $20+ dollars, there was no risk. I play 18 holes with it right after receiving it and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked using it. The putter is well made. As a 25 handicapper, I don't know everything about equipment but I have played enough to know when something has quality and good craftsmanship. This putter is solid. In using the belly putter what I noticed was how much easier short putts were for me. It took away the yips instantly. I literally sank all of the 6 foot and shorter putts--even got my 2nd birdie in my 5yrs old golfing! For longer putts, I kinda longed for my standard putter. That was the one down side for me. But, there are several ways to position your hands with a belly putter so I will find a way to get more comfortable with the longer putts. Bottom line: this putter stays in my bag for now. Confidence with those short putts is priceless. And, it is important to note that I will not be looking to buy a "name brand" belley putter anytime soon. This one is more than suitable--I think it's great as it is. One last thing: I am 6'1". The 41inch putter seems to fit me just right. Hope that helps you choose the right length.

Don't waste your money! I recently purchased this product and took it too the putting green to test it out. I hit about 10 putts when the head fell off. Upon further examination it looked like the shaft was just stuck into the head with hope instead of glue being used to secure it. Very disappointing. I purchased the 43-inch version and being 6'4" I realized I need one at least one-inch longer to be comfortable.

Bought this putter to try "Belly" style before spending serious money.
Product came sooner than expected. Packaging was suffcient.
Have not played a round with it, but practice.
Putter has a nice feel to it and feels solid.

I purchased the Texan Classics Hot White Ball 41" Belly Putter as an inexpensive way to see if I liked a belly putter. I liked it so well that it is now my every round putter.

I bought this putter because I wanted to try a belly putter.Well for $19.99 you can't go wrong buying this.I made some putts that I had been missing!
