Along with my husband, John Bigley, I've written 28 books on Caribbean travel, Texas travel, romantic travel, food-related travel, and, most lately, dogs. This helpful guide to restaurants, barbecue cookoffs, mail order companies, and more is an unbeatable book for anyone interested in barbecue. It includes recipes collected from Texas pitmasters, including former Governor Ann Richards, the County Line restaurants, and barbecue cookoff competitors. Awarded "Best Regional Book" by Mid-America Publishers Association.

More of a traveler's help to locate BBQ reataurants in Texas.
It has a FEW recipes but is not a cookbook.
