4.0 out of 5 stars As Always, Hamilton Delivers A Solid Story, March 30, 2006
This review is from: Texas Fever (Hardcover)
Hamilton never fails to deliver a good yarn. His writing is economical and direct, and his Westerns are exemplars of the genre. If you're a Matt Helm fan, you'll enjoy seeing him from a different vantage point here. This short novel is an enjoyable tale of revenge set after the Civil War, when suspicion of South for North and vice versa was still rife: our young protagonist, Chuck McAuliffe, needs to measure his rebel anger against the Yankees if he's to grow into a man.

Light Western entertainment doesn't get much better.
