This book was absolutely outstanding! An interesting look at both the official and unofficial duties of the Sheriff in the 1950's. A must read for any law enforcement officer interested in history.

very good read. it tells of a time when law officers really dealt jusitce with the fist and the gun. sheriff vail ennis was my favorite read. with the exception of the machine gun mounted on his car it was a very accurate artical. he was a good friend of the family.
