I found this book to be of limited value in reviewing for TAKS. The summaries of basic areas covered were surprisingly incomplete and the sample problems limited in scope. The book primarily provides sample tests, but they are not nearly as good as the released tests that can be obtained free online from the Texas Education Agency web site. Having said all of this, I used the book, along with regular Algebra I and Geometry text books, to help a student who had completed her high school course work but failed the TAKS math exam three times. It proved to be useful but insufficient.
