Ripping guitar blues.,
By William C. Malven "Houston Conservative" (Houston, Texas United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Texas Tea (Audio CD)
I first heard Sunset Heights while surfing channels on the television. I came across the public access channel and saw this long haired guitar playing dude just ripping it up. I have never been much for public access television, but I was absolutely transfixed. I had to watch until the bands name was flashed on the screen. Texas Tea was the album from which they were playing.
This is one local Houston Band that deserved a lot more notariety than they got. Very reminiscent of Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band ( or vice versus since they pre-date Kenny Wayne). Too bad they didn't get a better agent. If you like guitar blues, this is a must get! |
