Hancock is one the best songwriters to come out of Austin and since the 70's has built a body of songs only Bob Dylan can match in a good day. It's true that his songwriting and voice reminds of Dylan, but only Dylan at his best. Sometimes Hancock is even better. In the Texan tradition Hancock is a kind of outlaw, not willing to work with the big labels, and going his own way, recording either in small labels or in his own label. Many people would like to hear on cd his tape collection, NO 2 ALIKE, a live 10 days recording of 140 songs. The conclusion from all this, is that you should buy any cd of Butch hancock whenever it's available, maybe tomorrow it won't be here. Any fan of Dylan has no excuses not to hear this guy, any fan of great songwriting would go the right way by listening to Hancock. The real thing!

Simply put, this is Butch Hancocks Masterpiece. Like many artist, their first or early works are some of their best efforts. It showcases his massive creativity and complete craftsmanship in song and verse. A must of an collector of Folk, Texas or
