Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

When high-powered, big-city attorney Gabe Dawson comes back to his rural Texas hometown to settle his grandmother's estate, he is stunned to learn that his matchmaking grandmother's will stipulates that unless he marries his teenage sweetheart, Katie, the estate will be divided between Katie and charity. Assuming that Katie knew all about it, Gabe angrily storms into her bakery to confront her and discovers that she is as appalled as he is. Although both are convinced the marriage would never work, old emotions bubble to the surface and, despite past hurts and misunderstandings, they can't deny the feelings they still have for each other. A sweet, upbeat romance filled with babies, would-be cowboys, meddling relatives and townspeople, and down-home Texas charm, this book lightly touches on issues of self-esteem, communication, and class differences and should appeal to readers who like their love stories on the warm, traditional side. Christenberry, a popular writer of contemporary series romances, lives in Texas.

4.0 out of 5 stars Christenberry always a good read., August 10, 2005
This review is from: The $10,000,000 Texas Wedding (Harlequin American Romance, No. 842) (Paperback)
I loved the book. As one of the other reviews stated, it was a little slow to get started but I did not have trouble staying interested. Judy Christenberry's books are always sweet and fun to read. I can hardly wait to read the new Triplet series.

3.0 out of 5 stars WORTH THE READ, September 21, 2000
This review is from: The $10,000,000 Texas Wedding (Harlequin American Romance, No. 842) (Paperback)
I really like Judy Christenberry. Her books are always sweet, fun reads ( just what I expect in a series romance). I felt the hero in this book started out acting like a JERK! It seemed like in every scene he was yelling at her and demanding to "talk to her now"! I stuck with it and luckily the hero started turning around and redeemed himself by about half way through. My co-worker borrowed and read my copy and felt that he was a man in love that had trouble expressing himself in the beginning. Well maybe. Either way this book is worth a read just because I LOVE this author. You really can't go wrong with her.

A little slow at first, but it gets going......

Judy Christenberry did everyone a favor when she continued on with the people of Cactus.....

Makes you wonder who is next.

Gabe and Katie are two people who messed up once and lived to regret it. In their own stubborn way they finally...... 8-)

Read it if you want more.
