This review is from: The Texians (Paperback)
This is an valuable book telling the story of a minor rebelion three years before the Texas war of independance in 1835-36. It tells the story of govermental abuse of a people who will not take it, let alone tolerate it. it tells of the horror of war and the debate it takes to start a revolution. It has mr Parkinsons biting humor and draws the reader into the story so that he wants to be the hero Matt. It teaches great lesons about honor. In places it will tear at your heart as people die who shouldn't and you'll laugh in the midst of tragity, just as if this story was happening to you
