Unlike the previous reviewer, I actually used the sun shower and after a week, found several gripes.
-The spigot handle to turn the water on and off unlike several coleman camp showers I have used. I consistently lost water through the shower while i fumbled to turn off the spigot. Other showers have a push in pull out method on the shower head that is quick and easy to use.
-It was unnaturally difficult to open the cap to refill the shower for the next day, I ended up using pliers from my fishing tackle box to pull on the tiny tab used to open it, all the while praying it wouldn't break off.
-When the refill cap was opened, the position of the opening was such that while one person is pumping, another is holding on to the fitting so that water could be added, hoping that you wouldn't tear the bag by holding up 4 gallons of water by the cap.
-The shower doesn't come with a strap to hang from a tree like other brands.

Final Thoughts:
It works, but is definitely a two person job to fill, and use. I am worried that it will not hold up under repeated use, especially the refill cap.

Initially I thought this was great- only one minor problem, a kinked hose. The kink never came out no matter what I tried- very hot water & trying to reform the tube. Contacted the seller to exchange the hose, unsuccessfully. Seller said I'd have to contact the manufacturer. 1 month later the hose & connection to the bag fell off. Years ago I bought a very cheap sun shower and it lasted 7-8 years. This one worked 3 weeks.

The seal at the bottom where the hose comes out was broken and leaked. It tried patching it but it still leaked.

I was not very impressed with it. I guess it is better than nothing. It did seem to warm the water on a 80 degree sunny day. Pretty crappy hose and flimsy valve. I don't know if the girl in the picture is smiling or LAUGHING at the contraption. I just filled it up and left it flat on a white roof to test how hot it got. Maybe 10 degrees warmer after a full day of sun, which would be nice for a quick rinse. I don't know how long it would last if used regularly.

The only issue I have, so far, is the fact that the top cap-- the one you put the water in-- is insanely hard to open. Not exactly great product design to have a really tight cap have a tiny little tab for opening... It really should have been another twist off like the bottom cap.... Needless to say, I won't be putting water in through the top cap, making the top cap useless.

I have used solar showers in the past and this one is hands down the worst one I have ever had the misfortune of not been able to use! I definitely do not recommend it! They also charged 8 dollars to post this to me! I paid more on postage! So it is not even worth returning! Do not get!

We bought this shower for a friend who lives in the middle of nowhere and has no water for taking a shower. All he has to do is fill it and wait for the sun to make it hot enough for a shower. He says it is perfect for him.

Drawback: the 5 gal size is too big to fill all the way. Asset: two people can have a luxurious warm shower shower with the 3.5- 4 gallons one can carry to the cold showers at the National Seashore.

We don't abuse it, but neither do we pamper it. As i think about it ours might be more than 20 years old. We've given it as a gift to other diehard outdoors people. R. Buch
