The only game in town,
By
This review is from: Text in the Book Format (Paperback)
Keith Smith's books are always informative. They are not the type of books you read cover to cover but you pick through pulling out the information or inspiration needed. I have as yet not found this book to be so instructional as it is someplace I go when I am thinking I need new fuel for the fire. It is mostly by example that I take what I need from Keith's book. They are always full of images of completed books that illuminate the style or form he is discussing. In text in the book format most of what I have seen so far has given me great ideas, what I have read is not revelational but more to nuts and bolts of print, font, size, words to page. But the examples get the gears moving and the ideas flowing.

Need I say anymore than this book is by Keith Smith! I have been collecting all of his books, this one is a recent published and as always Keiths syyle of writting is well documented and once you understand his approach to learning, it is brillant! This is a must have for bookbinding and book makers, for book art people.A great catch for your library |
