This review is from: Textbook of Automatic Pistols (Library Classics Series) (Hardcover)
This is one of the most important books written on the semiautomatic handgun. It covers all the important pistols developed prior to 1935. What makes this book so useful is that is gives a complete description of exactly how each weapon functions in detail. However, there are no exploded views of any of the firearms. Either concentrate carefully or find an exploded view somewhere else, to observe while you read the book.
You may have to read this book three or four times before you completely understand it. It is very clearly written, but also very complicated. Once you understand it, your knowledge of semiautomatic handguns will be significantly increased. I think that this is another one of the top ten books for anyone who is a handgun enthusiast. It is also a very hard book to find. |
