5.0 out of 5 stars Chelation Therapy--Everything you need to know., June 21, 2001
By
This review is from: A Textbook on EDTA Chelation Therapy: Second Edition (Hardcover)
Dr. Cranton is the leading expert in chelation therapy, and this book is clearly the most up-to-date review of how this therapy is done, the historical background, and the scientific data that show its value in the treatment of heart disease and other vascular disease.

If you want to know the details of this therapy, don't ask your doctor--this is the book to read. In spite of opposition to chelation therapy by the mainstream medical community, this textbook tells the real truth about it. It is hard to find valid, scientifically backed information about chelation, and if you ask your doctor, you will likely be led away from this valuable therapy that is better documented than bypass surgery and angioplasty.

While you may need some scientific background to understand all of the material, most readers will be able to understand enough to get a clear picture.

The book is well organized. For doctors interested in more information about chelation, this is a great place to start. With the protocol for treatment, you will have a good guide to this therapy.

Other books strictly for the layperson do not go into such detail and show you how the treatment is done, although they may be less technical for the less serious reader.

4.0 out of 5 stars Chelaton Reading Resource of the Best, March 15, 2006
By
This review is from: A Textbook on EDTA Chelation Therapy: Second Edition (Hardcover)
Of the several books and articles I have read about chelation therapy, this one is the best. It is perhaps not for the 101 lesson, as it is a bit more technical, so much so that medical doctors can read it with interest. It has many references to studies and background facts. Its a Bible on Chelation.
I have personally known Dr.Evers who is mentioned quite often in the book. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us.

This is the ACAM textbook for EDTA Chelation Therapy. I am currently undergoing chelation therapy 4 times a week for detox purposes. I am feeling better even after just 3 weeks...and I've been sick for the past 3 years. Make your own judgement as to whether chelation is for real...just realize that the establishment-owned drug companies would be making far fewer dollars if more people knew about this...

5.0 out of 5 stars rebuttal of C.M.Abratte's review, June 6, 2007
This review is from: A Textbook on EDTA Chelation Therapy: Second Edition (Hardcover)
Mr. Abrattes review lacks a little common sense. He says if EDTA worked then the medical community would be using it. However the medical industry is highly influenced by the high profit drug companies which would not want alternative therapies to exist because these therapies would cut deeply into their profits. There is a growing number of physicians which are adapting to edta therapy. EDTA is FDA approved for removal of heavy metals such as mercury, lead, nickel and cadmium. There are a lot of things that the pharmaceutical companies do not do research on because of the lack of profiteering.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chelation and other therapies, September 7, 2006
This review is from: A Textbook on EDTA Chelation Therapy: Second Edition (Hardcover)
Maybe if C.M. Abratte read the book: Politics in Healing by Daniel Haley (Former NY State Assemblyman), commented by Berkley Bedell (Former Congressman), and read the Fitzgerald Report by Benedict Fitzgerald of the US Dept. of Justice to the Senate Interstate Commerce Committee 1953, he/she would understand why the so-called scientific studies can't be trusted. It is very eye-opening and enraging reading, which IS BACKED UP BY COURT (of law) DOCUMENTS!!
Then and only then will it lead people to understand how we can have non-toxic therapies that are not "main-stream" and widely used in the medical profession!! Such a shame and criminal.
