About the Author
Anil Kumar De served as Professor and Head of Department of Chemistry and also as Dean of Faculty of Science, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan. During his outstanding academic career, he has published more than 130 research papers in international and national journals, besides several monographs and books. Professor De received several awards in recognition of his contributions in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry. These include Acharya P.C. Ray Gold Medal (1981, Calcutta University), Umacharan Banerjee Gold Medal (1979, Calcutta University), Cooper Memorial Medal, H.K. Sen Memorial Medal (Inst. of Chemists, 1996) and Life Time Achievement Award (Indian Chemical Society, 2006).
