This review is from: Textile Art of Okinawa: Collection of Okinawa (Paperback)
This book can be a helpful reference. It is in English and straightforward with amazing pictures (kimonos, fabrics, and process) of Okinawan textiles. In particular, the art of dying (bingata) and weaving (kasuri) are explained along with a brief history describing origin and other related information. In addition, there are terms (Okinawan words) used to help describe and teach the reader. Although this is a thin book, it is informative and has helped serve as an excellent reference and guide.
