Note: when they say "Lonely Planet Travel Talk Thai", that means that the box includes the language tape AND the Lonely Planet Thai Phrasebook ... The tape itself is very basic -- gives you useful words and phrases. It doesn't really explain anything about the structure or grammar of the language, particularly gendered words and conveying politeness (which are covered in the Lonely Planet book, assuming you read it). But it does get you used to Thai pronunciation & intonations, which is invaluable. |
