About the Author

Nicky Smith is a leading teacher of northern-style Thai massage in both Europe and Thailand. Her work is endorsed by the International Society of traditional Thai Massage. Nicky has trained extensively in Thailand and the UK with two leading figures in Thai Massage: Asokananda and Pitchet Boonthumme. Her approach has developed from ten years of richly varied work with yoga and integrative massage techniques. Nicky's teaching focuses on showing recipients how to truly listen and respond to their bodies and minds, and in so doing open themselves up to greater self-knowledge and awareness, and a heightened sense of health and well-being. She has practices in London and Lincolnshire. Hilary Totah is the principal of the British School of Shiatsu-Do in London. She began her studies in 1981 and has worked extensively with many international teachers. She was one of the first teachers at the BSS-Do when it was founded in 1983. She has also studied movement, dance and bioenergetics. Her inspiration is the wonder of the human body.
