First of all, let me say that I am a fan of Thalia work. This includes her soap operas as well as her music. In my opinion, her best musical work is still "Arrasando." While I expected 'Thalia' to be as innovative as 'Paulina,' this was not the case. The first single 'Tu Y Yo' is somewhat of a remake of her earlier hit 'Pacto Entre Los Dos.' Like the rest of the album, the songs sound outdated. I will give props for the inclusion of the 'Tu Y Yo' Kumbia King remix. The remix is incredible and sure to be a dancefloor favorite. The same can be said for her remake of Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round." I am sure this has to do with DJ/Remixer/Producer superstar Hex Hector helming the production of this song. If the EMI marketing group knows what they are doing, they will promote this song to the US market. I understand that Hex has remixed "En La Fiesta Mando Yo." I am really looking forward to hearing that mix. To those thinking of buying it, buy it because it is Thalia. However, just becuase she worked with the same people that produced "Paulina," do not expect it to be anything as musically diverse or innovative as "Paulina." Thalia, I love you and I am looking forward to hearing the english cd. One advice--continue working with HEX.

En Extasis [bad], Amor a la Mexicana was better, Arrasando was EVEN better, and this one slipped on the way to the top of the rest below. She still has talent with ballads, but she's lost her touch with the faster songs. As always, they start out with an attractive beat that keeps your toe tapping, but after a short time they drag and leave you pushing the button for the next track and that happens again until you reach the end of the cd to "You Spin Me 'Round". This song is not for everyone and it is certainly not for Thalia. Not only because she doesn't have too much experience with Rock music, but because her English is as bad as this song. But I still love her!!

The singles to come out. From what I read, there are many crazy Thalia fans out there, giving five stars to this album... let me tell you all my opinion.
I heard three songs so far... Closer to you, En la Fiesta Mando Yo, and Tu y Yo. I like all three of those songs. They are wonderful. However, what I like about Closer to you is the beat and the way that thalia sings it because... I am sorry to say this, but I am fluent in English, and even so, I hardly understood what she sang!!
Like I said, I am just going to wait for the singles to be released... all of them because I don't want to waste 18 bucks. I mean, what if I like those three songs, listen to the CD, and don't like all of the others?? To those of you who say that her English is bad, it is. Sorry to say this, but it is TERRIBLE. I think Thalia had to wait to speak English fluently and understandably enough to record songs in English. Still, if you all say that it's a fantastic album, like FANS that you are, I believe you, but I won't buy the album.

I bought this CD with high hopes thinking it would be as good as
Arrasndo and Thalia's other CDs, but it's not. The CD doesn't totally bite, but it just isn't the Thalia that I have grown to know and love. It's something about voice in this CD it just isn't as strong as it was in her other CDs. As for the English tracks her accent isn't perfect, but you try singing in a different language and see how well you do. Thalia me encanta tu trabajo, tu musica, y tus novelas espero que tengas exito en tu "debut" en ingles y por favor HAGA OTRO DISCO CON BANDA!

After the extremely hot, and energetic "ARRASANDO" CD I perhaps was expecting some of the same on this CD. Unfortunately, as much as I love her, I was disappointed. "You spin me round" (the old Dead or alive number) was refreshing but as a whole I think the different styles, that remind you of Shakira and the like, left me cold.

It seems the Latin sounds have gone, and we're just into the nightclub sounds.
Overall, I keep going on to the next track, and then the next.
Then its all over, and I just put on another cd.
Great cover, well worth your money just for that.
