I loved the 70's Tomorrow People. But I must say this remake tops the original by at least 200%. They have been true enough to the original so I keep getting wonderful reminders of my childhood. But the new (awesome) look and plot is fresh and exciting. This is a hit for those of us that watched the original show and for our kids.

I watched the original series. Usually remakes are bad, but this is awesome!
They honored the "original" series for a whole. Looking forward to a whole "NEW ERA" of evolutionary Homo-Superior.

I hate it when they do shows with high school characters. They always use people who are clearly too old to be in HS. It's about as glaring as if they used dioramas with marionettes instead of CGI. I know it's just the first episode, but the characters didn't seem to have much dimension. They can probably hammer that out as time goes on, but the personalities seemed a bit thin.

Also, why do these companies charge for the pilot episode? If you're going to go fishing, don't balk at paying for bait. I've bought lots of full seasons and season passes on Amazon because I saw the first season here or on Netflix and decided I wanted to keep watching, even if I had to pay more.

A good start for a new-old series, with a lot of potential for development of characters and exploration of tension between factions. Good chemistry between characters, believable evil villain who should be conflicted but isn't. Nice to see Sarah Clarke again. There's always some danger that special effects for the four Ts (Telepathy, Telekinesis, Transportation, and Time control) will wear thin, but so far it's a fun show. I'll be watching the rest of the season.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves SYFY shows. It has action, it has comedy, and it has romance (but not mushy mushy). The Tomorrow People is a great new show and I look forward to see how this show unfolds.

A remake of The Tomorrow People from the 70's. I watched the original series as a kid and though the name is kind of corny, remember this is a reboot. Also, don't judge by the first few episodes. There is a lot of groundwork to be laid in order to describe the setting and build the characters/tell their stories.

Once the character/story building is over, watch out! This is one of the most engrossing shows I've seen on tv of late and I can't get enough! The characters are believable. The situations are believable. I feel that the writers, producers and cast have done an excellent job!

Don't pass this up!

I hope they give this show a chance. I like this is the type of show that is popular now, but I like this one better than the zombie and vampire shows that are so popular because it is not so gory. But they seem to cancel shows now if they don't show huge ratings by the second or third episode. Give it a chance.

I'd watched the show and while it was moderately interesting it was directed at the Twilight age group. I'm a Dr. Who fan and had watched a few episodes of the older BBC version of the Tomorrow People years ago but was never all that enthusiastic about it. So, when this appeared I watched all of the episodes even though I knew the show would be cancelled. There are some shows that just feel like the network is going to treat them as temporary filler shows rather than a "real" show and this was one of those.

So, I'm not clear why anyone would pay money to see a show that a network did not feel was worth continuing. While I became a "somewhat" fan of the show I'm just not a fan of monetarily contributing to the bad behavior of networks that end shows prematurely without a decent ending and then try to bleed more money out of them.

So, 4 stars for the show but 1/2 star for the network for cancelling the show prematurely.
