All I can say is wow! Never heard anything quite like this. Musically speaking this album is quite different than any of the other "contemperary gospel" artists that are popular right now. If I had to give the style a name, I would call it "progressive gospel". The tunes groove like Fred Hammond or Kirk, but I think the musicianship is on another level. The "band" consists of only two people with Leroy doing all the vocals and guitars, and Dewayne doing almost all the music. The sound kinda reminds me of the vocalists from earth wind and fire, with a babyfaceish production style. Some traditional gospel fans might hear the screaming guitars and funky bass lines and say, "this is no different than the world" but listening the the lyrics I get the feeling that these guys are totally sincere. I can't wait for another release, and I can't wait to see them live!

I recently purchased "Thank Him For The Rain" and was highly impressed by the musical talent and good solid content of the album. I thought the music was awesome, played by apparently just Dewayne and Leroy Williams. What a feat! it must have taken many pain-staking hours to get all of that done! And the positive message was aboslutely heart warming as I listened to it. These guys have really got a groove going, and something special to add to it-talent on loan from God. I think this album is definitely worth adding to your collection if you consider good, jiving music with a positive upbeat message your thing! And if not, try it out jsut for kicks, you might find a new style of music you love!
