What a hoot!,
This review is from: Thank You All Very Much (Audio CD)
Fun record by the 13th Floor Elevators band-mates...some nice crunching guitar. each song is followed by a humorous piano based anecdote. Worth picking up if a fan of the IA (International Artists) sound

I was prepared to be underwhelmed by this album - the unloved foster child of the IA catalog. As a completest collector I had to have it. I was delightfully suprised to find that I enjoyed it and that the enjoyment grows with each replay. Most of what I had read about this long out of print release was written by folks who damned Dr. Mellinger and company for not being another 13th Floor Elevators -- They were another Lost and Found, sort of. The muic is fun and varried and ,somtimes, searing and scorching. The subject matter seems to focus on human goofiness and goofy humans. The lyrics are sometimes hard to discern due either to bad miking or, quite probably, degradation of the original source material (IA's masters were supposedly badly treated until Leland Rogers rescued them a little too late). Nonetheless, this is a fun musical adventure. I'll not say that they were highly innovative; however, they did a good job of reflecting the style of the times (think Music Machine, Kinks, Small Faces, and late period Beatles) and adding their own quirky charm. The spoken introductions are quite entertaining and unique. The packaging is top notch, as has become Charly's trend. If you appreciate the eclectic offerings of International Artists in total, rather than just one or two of the "enlightned psychedelic guru" bands, you could do a lot worse than by giving this a spin and listen. You just may find that Thank You All Very Much has been as underrated as Easter Everywhere has been overrated (except for Earthquake).
