I purchased this book last summer for my 2 and three year old daughters--I've been looking for a collection of "teaching" tools to talk about spirituality with them. This is very simplistic, with cute and colorful pictures--my daughters enjoy this and do remember to thank their angels. I saw a negative review on this; this is a book geared towards spiritual truths, rather than "religious teachings." As a note: if you're looking for other simplistic spiritual teaching aides for very young children, I'd also recommend some of the books by Lori Lite, such as THE BOY AND THE TURTLE and THE BOY AND THE BEAR.

Thank you Angels is written perfectly to help children understand the love and guidance that the Angels have for each one of us. My children love to hear this story every night before bed.

Thank You, Angel is visualy beautiful and a wonderful read. It tells the story of how children have Angels in a beautiful story format that my and other children have loved. We've read it many times and the message is both powerful and inspiring.

This is one book I can most certainly suggest is a must for your (and even older) kids to read (or have read to them).

So what do angels do all day? Do they play harps, relax on clouds, and sing in a heavenly choir?

In her children's book Thank You, Angels!, author Doreen Virtue assures kids that although angels do, indeed, engage in these traditional pastimes, these heavenly beings spend most of their time looking out for them.

Illustrating angels as everyday kids and adults with wings, artist Patricia Keeler captures the kindly demeanor, helpful actions and whispered advice so often associated with angels. In fact, says Virtue, angels may often send a human in their place--a park ranger, fire fighter, doctor or police officer, for example

In Thank You, Angels!, Virtue gently cautions children that angels won't interfere on our behalf because of something called Free Will, and that we must first ask for their direction, guidance and assistance. She also explains the various ways angels communicate with us, including a still, small voice from within, an angel-shaped cloud or white feather on the ground.

Some of the comforting advice offered in Thank You, Angels! include:

* Angels help you stay safe (they are heavenly superheroes!)

* Angels have special healing powers

* Angels spread love, promoting understanding and forgiveness

* Angels speak through thoughts, emotions and intuition

* Everyone has a guardian angel

* No problem is too big or too small for an angel!

My 11-year old son was deeply touched by Thank You, Angels! Although we pray to angels in our house and speak of them, I don't think he really "got" who they were and what they do until he read this book. I'm now noticing that he talks about them more, encouraging others (and himself!) that guardian angels always surround us with their love and protection--heavenly friends that offer us comfort whenever we may need it.

I ordered this book for my children. I have many of Doreen Virtue's books, and I listen to her radio show. In her book on Indigo Children, she says to help children get rid of "monsters" at nighttime, to call on the angels. I got this book, so my children (the youngest especially) would have a book to look at to help remember the angels. It's now a favorite nighttime book to read. Every night!! We've had fewer nightmares and more relaxed bedtimes after we've read the book and said a prayer to our angels and archangels.

Illustrations are wonderfully detailed (you can see titles of books the angels read) and the language does not talk down to children or adults. It's a good 'grow with me' book.

My son loves this book and finds it very reassuring. He also finds it funny and entertaining. A must purchase for any parent. Non religious so non-offensive.

Doreen Virtue did a fantastic job on this book in the explanation of angels and the "Thanking" them for everything they do for us here on the earth plane. I didn't know how she would explain angels on a child's level but was pleasantly surprised at her writing. I will enjoy this book with my grandchildren and highly recommend it.

I love reading this book to my kids at bedtime. Doreen is amazing and I appreciate all her insightful books, happy to share this story with kids so I bought it for friends as well.

This is a great book to read to young children to teach them about Angels and God and really open up conversations of spirituality and faith. Not only does the book talk about how Angels are around but how we can ask for help from up above and helps teach her to be thankful for the things in her own life.

Thank You, Angels! Is a brilliant children's book to be used as a stepping stone for building a child's foundation on how to engage in a relationship with their angels. The illuminated examples of everyday readily available angels vividly shows children how all they have to do is just ask for their angels and they are there. It teaches them how to easily look, listen and feel for angel signs.
