Don't buy this CD if you are thinking on Deep Dish remix!,
By
This review is from: Thank You (Audio CD)
I bought this CD because I was thinking on the 'Deep Dish Vocal Remix' (which is about 9 minutes lenght), but SURPRISE! it IS NOT the Vocal Remix, but Vocal Remix EDITED, so it is just 4:10 min.
Amazon, of course, doesn't say anything about lenghts.

Dido is AMAZING!,

I loved these lyrics when they were in the background of Eminem song "Stan" but as a stand-alone version sung in different ways they are much, much better. Dido has an amazing voice, and her lyrics are disturbingly true to life. "Thank you" is no ordinary song, and Dido's singing is almost story-like as if you are listening to a young woman telling you about her life and how she lives it each day. Each of the tracks is distinctive and unique and you find that the tune and words are forever in your mind, reminding you that unlike "Stan" which is a brilliant but dark song in itself, "Thank You" is more positive and uplifting in its vocal outlook.

Dido is a damn good example of a great star!,

A far-fetched single that lead to sales going wild worldwide which also lead to Dido becoming one of the top-selling female artist of 2001. The single "Thank you" is a peaceful track that shows the remarkable artist's best work yet. It ended up becoming the 8th biggest single of 2001 in the US at the Billboard. It sounds a lot like Melanie Chisholm's "Never be the same again" so it's for everyone who enjoyed that song as well as Mel's "If that were me". The track is also something for Enya, New Age music, Pop, and Celine Dion fans. It's also a little something for Shania Twain's "That don't impress me much" fans. Dido is very gifted and this single definitely shows it. She gives a convincingly good vocal performance in this song and is undoubtedly worth having in your music collection!

Poor quality (Talking about the content!),

1. Album version (The song you've probably heard on the radio and if you turn it on you'll find it I'm sure! I used to like this song so much but the radio and the TV made me hate it) :( 2. Deep dish vocal (Love the music and the echoes all through the song although it gets a little bit repetitive and one question...WHERE's THE CHORUS?) 3. Skinny mix (The background music sounds like the "Stan" song but without Eminem of course although if you hear it well the vocals don't go with the music, it's weird really, kinda ruins it...) 4. Enhanced video section (Great, colorful video and she looks beautiful too bad it's on TV at least once an hour...) I liked the remixes on the "here with me" single but this, this is poor if compared, I think the record company thought people like would buy it just for the Album verison and just throuw some mediocre mixes and the video to match the price but anyways. Seriously, buy it if only a die-hard fan like me...

Thank You is an easy listening song , with amazing choir vocals in the background, which when its over leaves you wanting more. That's where the Deep Dish crew come in , with a cool , slow but dancey two-step club mix with cool echoes the whole way through , this track is the main reason I bought the CD.The Skinny mix is nothing special , overall a good CD but dont expect any trance from Rollo or quickwit rapps from Eminem.

Soothing singer,

The lady Dido has got to be one of the best singer/songwriters in years. Every now and again comes a genius and this girl is a genius. Sad singing that makes you reminise and so thought provoking that brings memories that make you thoughtfully smile to yourself.

OVERPLAYED!,
By
This review is from: Thank You (Audio CD)
Thank You ahs become one of those singles you can't stand anyomre for the overplaying that got on radio.....only the first verse could get through my brain, the chorus line is simplry cheesy and repetitive, sorry to break anybody's bubble but ALL I WANT it's a better track and choice for any DIDO fan.

Not All That Good,

The album version is the best version on this single. This song is a peaceful song. The dance remixes aren't doing this song any justice. Just stick to the original.
